What a weak name
« on: January 21, 2006, 08:16:19 AM »
Normally I could care less of a name or color of a ball but...
This is the solid version follow up to the great Paradigm? "Passion?". Sounds extremly weak sounding for a ball that is supposed to be so powerful. Sounds like a name of a plastic ball or a dry lane ball or cheap entry level ball.
Boring colors, cheesy logo and poor shelf appeal. Whoever the guys that market or think of the names have really done a poor job for Storm over the last few years.

A better name then "passion" that would reflect the counterpart for Paradigm?
Adversary
Pharisee
Entity
Aura

Then get some creative colors or color, with a better logo.

I agree with you on this one...

Lane #1 guy: Hey I'm throwing the Dirty Bomb.
MoRich guy: Yep I got me Shock & Awe.
Hammer guy: Check out my new Hawg Wild.
Roto Grip guy: Look at my Epic Battle....

Storm guy: Ummmm I have a PASSION.

Passion may be a weak name, but let me tell you, it aint weak. Only solid, dull reactive I have thrown that rolls early and just keeps on going. No roll out or stop in this ball. Just real, real continuous. Great on a long heavy pattern.

People can't pronounce Paradigm and you want them to pronounce Pharisee? LOL

Bottom line. Who cares what a ball is named. As long as they work. I would throw a ball named "The Turd" as long as I can strike with it.WOW! good name for the next Storm ball. Kind of a tough scent to sell though.

Paradigm Precioussss

It might inspire BrunsNick to put down his Grizz and come over to Storm.

Besides if it's as pink as the picture the name kinda seems appropriate.

I agree with KR though if it carries the corners you can call it the TuTu for all I care.

I just picked up a Dark Thunder.I like thet name for a black ball.

paradigm shift is used in motivational speaking and management leadership courses.  Its a really good word to use but why does storm do this they were going great with the x factor line with the names but now.  Well lets pick to weirdest name and attach it to another word that has no association with it.  GREAT THINKING ONCE AGAIN STORM.  All the tech in the world and you cant come up with a title.  FIRE THE MARKETING FIRM FOR THIS NAME

It's been downhill since they stopped using Storm names.

I saw Pete Weber shoot 300 throwing this ball during the round of 64 at the Phoenix Open on thursday and the ball is far from being weak!

Nice , new strong ball that should do well but agreed on the name. Who in the Marketing team was getting in touch with their "feminine side"? As long as it stops here and there is not a new ball called the romance to follow.
