What is storm's big hooker for heavy oil? Im looking to switch companies and try some storm balls out (going from Columbia). Columbia has the resurgence, what is storm's match? Thanks

Well if you want something really rolly, smooth, versatile, and hits hard then look into the Special Agent.

I sold mine a while back, but just picked another one up a week ago and I love it! So versatile with hand postion changes and different lines.

Not necessarily.  If the pearl isn't polished, it will still roll in oil and react strongly to dry boards.  I have used a dulled Total NV on high volume patterns and gotten more hook and entry angle out of it than my Special Agent, for example.

Not neccesarily true, remember there are early hooking pearls and late snapping solids.

My 2 favorites for oil are the Attitude Shift & Special Agent.  I haven't used the Gravity yet, but am hearing positive things about it handling oil.  A lot depends how you get em' layed out & where you plan to attack the pocket from.  Our anchor man uses a Domination w/a duller coverstock & that works for him.  That's a pearl w/the RAD assym. core.

Not just for more traction actually.  I keep my Spit Fire polished as a just-in-case, but my Total NV is scuffed to 4000 abralon now and my Awesome Revs (pearl particle) is at 2000 abralon.  Polish and I don't get along particularly well -- it tends to make the ball a little jumpy and unpredictable when the shot is over/under, and makes the ball too oil-allergic for me.  A high grit finish smooths out the reaction a little while still retaining energy for the back part of the lane.  That matches my game very well.

Dan, I couldn't agree more.  I have given up on factory polish finish and my pocket percentage has never been better.  I think that Abralon has really changed the game since it is sooo consistant compared to using sandpaper or Scotchbrite.  The only ball that I own that I keep factory polish these days is my plastic ball.
