Step down from Marvel?

Do you think the 2 Furious would be a good step down from the Marvel?
 
 
Marvel - 4.5" pin to PAP, pin under.
 
2 Furious - 5" pin to PAP, pin over.
 
 
I haven't thrown the 2 Furious yet, still have to get the thumb drilled for myself. I have a Marvel Pearl, which seems like an obvious choice as a step down from the Marvel, but it's often times uncontrollable and I prefer solids over super strong pearls.
 
 
I'm thinking it would be a good step down, going from the R2X down to the R2S. Thoughts? Here's some info on myself:
 
Stroker. 275-300 RPM. 15.5 MPH ball speed. Good amount of axis rotation.

Did you try knocking some of the shine off the Marvel Pearl? I have a Reign Supreme that kind of made me feel like it was uncontrollable/inconsistent as well, so I put 2000 to it to make it roll a little earlier and smoother. 
 
2 Furious might not be bad. How about a Victory Road Solid as well?
 
Also, if you want to venture away from Storm, could try a Jet bowling ball ;). The Surrender is a very good benchmark/smooth rolling piece.

This. The Marvel Pearl was way too shiny for me out of box. A lighter coat of polish helped it read the midlane more and eliminated a lot of the over/under I saw with it initially.

Victory Road Solid should give you that same control with the sanded/solid cover, just less overall hook.

I like the idea of using the 2Furious as a step down from the Marvel. The 2Furious is a bit more even around the corner than the Victory Road solid, for me and the people I drilled them for. Just my .02.

 I would have to agree.  It will be probably about as smooth as the marvel, but less overall hook.  The Victory Roads are going to be a little more aggressive on the backends, certainly a lot more than the 2Furious in my own experience.  The Marvel Pearl has got a ton of backend so I don't think I would call it a "step-down" to the Marvel.  It will cover less oil than the Marvel, but it really trucks on the backends so you need to be looking for that type of reaction if you want to use the Marvel Pearl.
