Gravity Shift at 1000 abralon
« on: January 23, 2009, 12:08:54 PM »
After struggling with my Gravity Shift on the carrydown (it would start skidding by the end of the first game), my pro shop took it down from 1500 polish (OOB) to 1000 abralon and all I can say is WOW.

At leagues the ball held the line and I bowled my highest game ever -- a 236.  When I got to the third game I started leaving ten pins playing the same line, so I pulled out my T-Road Pearl to see what kind of reaction I would get.  It was giving me an over/under, so I switched back to the Gravity Shift and it held the line firm.

I am a new bowler and this is my first experience playing around with coverstock.  Thanks to my pro shop (Lane 41 at Earl Anthony's in Dublin, CA) for helping me out!

I had some similar issues with my GravityShift.  Since I bowl on a second shift league after a womens league, I sometimes encounter alot of carry down!

Well I was also getting burn marks on the ball from the lanes ( synthetics ) so after trying it polished to see if the burn marks would go away, which didnt help, i hit the ball with some 800grit, and WOW!!!!!

the ball read the lanes so much nicer and the backend was alot tamer and consistent.   It still has some carry down issues, if the lanes are tight, but that is solved by using my Virtual Gravity.
