Fear Factor Vs. Flash Flood
« on: September 13, 2004, 08:04:43 PM »
I have a friend who has very little hand and throws a very aggressively drilled FF(it was drilled for myself, but I sold it to him), would a Flash Flood drilled to hook be a better choice for him from an overall hook standpoint?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Pat,

My wife throws hard (around 18 mph) with very little hand.  For the past year we have tried several different balls to work with her style of bowling.  She got a Flash Flood drilled to hook about a month ago and her average is up almost 20 pins to start her fall league.  I'd say it would be a great move for your friend.

The Flash Flood came up yesterday during a discussion between our shop personnel and our local Storm rep.  We have yet to drill a Flash Flood and were trying to understand the ball since we thought it would be a good match for one of our customers.  We were told that the Flash Flood will be like the Fear Factor, but it will be stronger in the backend.  He also stated that he wished Storm had pressed this point when selling the ball and not emphasized the high particle load.

Yup...that's what we were told about the flood.  While it will hook "about 3 feet earlier than a flash force" it will be "like a Fear Factor except stronger on the turn."  From my ears to the keyboard....
