Lurker Turned Poster Looks For Advice

Hello All! I've been a lurker around here for several months, but now I've turned into a poster. I'm looking to start getting back into bowling seriously this fall,  by joining my first league in years. Now, I'm looking to start rebuilding my arsenal. It currently has a T-Road Solid which works great for me on heavier oil. I am more of a power stroker and I can rev it up surprisingly well. My other ball, is a Saturn but has been pretty beaten up and I have almost no reaction with it now. Now, I'm looking for a new ball or two to play anywhere from lighter to a little heavier than medium conditions. I usually play anywhere from the channel to a little left of third arrow.

Now, I am looking to stay with Storm or Roto Grip, which is why I posted this here, but am open to any other companies. If you missed it, I describe myself more of a power stroker, with higher than normal ball speed for a stroker and average revs for a stroker. I'm grateful with any advice you can give me before I go in and talk with my pro shop staff.

Since you like the T-Road Solid I'd recommend the T-Road Pearl for those medium conditions. And a Tropical Storm for the medium/light conditions.

IMO The Mystic is very strong and will handle medium/heavy conditions easily. And if your talking about solid Horizon, that ball is even stronger and will without a doubt overlap with the T-Road Solid.

Mystic is a medium ball in my hands and the horizon pearl is what i meant the solid is way to early strong.

I do not know anyone that uses the mystic for heavier patterns in vegas??? My strom staffer friend uses his on medium to lighter patterns also and his rev rate is close to 400.

Every Mystic i've ever seen including my own, and easily handle medium/heavy conditions. At 4000Grit, the ball is absolute beast! Mine is actually stronger then my SD-73 Classic with the same drilling and surface.

Well to be safe i would say for the poster to go with a horizon pearl or t-road pearl and not take a chance on the mystic being too strong.

My approach to the Mystic was that I wanted something that I could get down the lane more and have a smoothed out hard arc backend reaction.  I also drilled this one more for length than my other balls.  

What ended up happening is that this ball works exactly for what I wanted, which was a ball to help out with carrydown or the tricky backend situations.  

I have this ball polished up with Storm's Moon Shine polish.  I personally find that this ball even when polished and with a pretty tame drilling needs some oil to work.  More specifically, it seems to work better for me after the oil has moved down a bit.

Looking at your original post, you said you wanted something for lighter to to a little heavier than medium.  I think what a couple people were trying to say that the Mystic is a pretty strong ball.  Now don't get me wrong, this is probably the 2nd most used ball that I own and I couldn't recommend it enough.  I am just saying that when you say lighter to medium heavy, I don't know if this ball will be the best for lighter conditions (it sounds like we have similar styles as well).  

What I do think is that with a good layout the Mystic would be an excellent ball to work with the T-Road (it will give you a different look and reaction), but I wouldn't think of it as a "light oil" ball.  When you start getting into light oil discussions, that's where I find it gets tricky.  I wonder if the Saturn you have would have a better reaction if you were actually playing on the lighter conditions and maybe you don't need to worry about that.

Again, I am not an expert by any stretch I just throw the things a lot and try to observe the differences in reactions...
