I loved the Original Eraser PBT, it was the best ball I ever had. It just seem to fit my game very well. The numbers on the Banshee seem to be very similar, was wondering if anyone has any comments on the new Banshee. I know the coverstock is a little different though.

I also love the Original Eraser, shot my first 300 and 800 with that ball in a ten day period. I emailed Storm asking them to do another run because that ball was so great. No luck there though. My personal opinion on the Banshee is that it won't measure up to what you'd like. As soon as I saw that it was a Monsoon coverstock on it I didn't even consider buying it. I dislike the Monsoon covers, had two and don't want another. If you'd like another top notch Pearl Reactive Storm ball get the Original X-Factor. You won't be disappointed. There is a reason why they're still making them, they are the best ball out there. Good luck on whatever your choice.

If you were a fan of the original Eraser PBT have you considered the Eraser Pearl Particle? It's the same core with a PRO-Thane LT (light load of particles mixed with ACCU-Tread)cover. This ball will give you a bit more backend than an original Eraser but it should be MUCH closer than a Banshee.

I have owned Eraser Particle Pearl and it had a beautiful even hook but less backend than my Eraser(which had a ton and was quite sharp). It is same core but like most particle pearls backs off on carrydown.

I have also seen in our house quite a bit the Banshee and the Eraser PBT.

The Eraser PBT looks stronger and flippier to my eyes!

The banshee seems sort of weaker. Or at least weaker than the Eraser PBT.

I ended up getting an original X-Factor and I like it a lot, of course I probably should have went to it right away in hindsight, but it has that same coverstock and I just tamed down the drilling a little bit and it worked great the first night. In fact the Pro-shop that I got it from has another one with almost the same layout, pin placement which I might get because I can't see Storm keeping the X-Factor out for to much longer.

ttown: you picked yourself a winner. That ball won't quit. After you get alot of games on it and it starts to dull, like all pearls do. Just have your pro shop polish it with Storms 1500 grit polish. Unless you have your own spinner and can do it yourself. That will restore it to box finish and it'll be like new again. I have over 120 games on mine and it's still going strong. If you can get that other, get it and drill it strong, you'll love it.
