How much oil will a thunderstruck solid handle?
« on: April 27, 2007, 12:28:14 PM »
I've been using an old blue thunder I got recently.  It has very low games on it and I love it, but sometimes the center puts out too much oil for it to handle.  ( old, un-reliable oiling machine that needs to be repaired or replaced )

I can usually play with my feet on 28-30, targeting third arrow and have the ball react well and end up in the pocket area, but just Thursday night I lined up in my usual spot and hit the 3-6.  Moved my feet right and still hit the 3, so I moved a bit more, found the dry, and watched the ball race brooklyn on me.

I could never find the adjustment.  It seemed very elusive to me.  I think if I had a ball that handled more oil than the old blue thunder, I could have gone to it and still played close to what is my "normal" shot.

Medium oil, unless you get crazy with drillings and surface.
