Our team is thinking about getting Storm balls for the start of the next league. The Secret Agent has my attention but also wanted some input from you Stormers

My PAP is 5 1/4 and 1/4 up, medium to high speed and medium revs. Looking for a house shot ball and don't care if it's for heavy oil, will shine it if it's too much hook. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!!

Well any Agent is a pretty sure bet. Depends on which cover you think you would do the best with.

IMO solid reactives seem to be good house shot balls for me. I don't think you can go wrong with the Rapid Fire, T-Road Solid, or the Special Agent. Of these, my personal opinion is the T-Road Solid is silly versatile and it is a great medium to heavy house shot ball.

you will love the gravity shift I basically have the same pap and on a ths the ball is unbeatable

Ill second that nomination

I like the Gravity also, but the Agent line is good also. Of the 3 Agents I'd go original or Special. Jmo.

depends on when you bowl, if you have a fresh shot i would go gravity shift, if you bowl a later or carry down shot i would go double agent, special agent

Thanks for all the replies and I see that the Gravity is pretty popular! Any reason why no one is recomending the Secret Agent? btw our league bowls on a fresh shot so maybe the Gravity? What about the Hot-Rods?
Thanks!

T-Road Solid, JMO.

i really like a shined special agent. very versatile, and a very easy to control hard arc. plenty o' hook and throws the pins around alot. good luck!
-
T-road solid or a sure fire
-
Rapid-Fire gets my vote!

Secret Agent is a low RG hybrid particle. As far as I can tell it is a good ball but not necessarily what I'd recommend for a tapered house shot. Better for a wet/dry shot or for holding line in a heavy oil sport shot IMO. I have a Double Agent (the predecessor to the Secret) and it is not typically a good ball for my house shot.
I have a Gravity Shift and it is quickly becoming my favorite ball - but I almost never use it on our house shot (38 ft. xmas tree buffed to 41) until the 2nd or 3rd game. For me it is a ball to open up the lanes. Again, I'd look at either the Special Agent or T-Road Solid.

I love the way the Sure Fire rolls.

Gravity is a great ball.
T-road solid aswell
both balls from my experience respond well to surface changes and release changes.

I agree with noodlejester - the secret agent wouldn't be your best bet for a fresh house pattern. I use mine on wet/dry conditions and holding line from outside angles on sport patterns. It is a very nice piece though.
The most versatile storm ball I have owned is the original Agent. It strikes from pretty much any angle, playing well on both inside and outside lines. If I had to use ONE storm ball this would be it.
If the conditions you're on have heavier volume/ length and play a little tighter I would recommend the special agent or T-road Solid. If you have a lower rev rate I'd go special agent, higher rev rate go T-road because of it's higher RG.
Basically, if you're looking for versatility - go original Agent.
If you're strictly looking for a ball to use on the fresh house stuff - go SA or TRS.

not noodlejester - greenefam - sorry

Original Agent does sound good.

Can't speak for the Hot Rod stuff, but almost everything else Storm has out right now except for perhaps the Secret Agent is a solid bet.
