Do you think he will win it this year? He was second in points behind Sean Rash, had 3 PBA wins, and finished all top 10 in every major. It's a vote this year so tricky to say. I'd like to see him win as I think he had a very consistent season. I know the 3 wins were at the WSOB which could work against him as well as no majors. Then there's the 2-handed thing which I think bothers some of the players on tour, which will be voters...
Jason gave us a live interview via Skype and made his case.

Belmonte should top the list.
The only other person who should be in the discussion IMO is Fagan with 2 titles including a major. Mike was also on the show for three out of the 4 majors and he was in one of the playoff shows for forth.

The interesting part is that there are 3 serious contenders this year which doesn't happen often. Traditionally, the points leader would get it and that would be Sean Rash. Then again, 3 wins would typically guarantee a POY. Mike Fagan won a major but didn't do as well at the WSOB hence why he was 3rd in total points. He also picked up a WBT win.
This year, World Bowling Tour wins counted as PBA wins, only from a certain point in time. So people who had WBT wins before PBA and WBT announced the collaboration didn't get credit for PBA wins.
