Gravity Shift

Do we have any idea how the gravity shift will compare to the original paradigm?

the Cores have similar numbers,

but what do we know about this new cover?

my paradigm is this close to a funeral, and its my go to ball, gonna need something else soon...

Paradigm is most likely pretty similar (I haven't thrown the Paradigm, only watched it being thrown, whereas I have thrown the Gravity)...The Gravity has great midlane for a pearl coverstock and revs up quickly...it displays no skid-flip; instead, it has a strong, angular arcing motion to the pins. IMO, it excels on anything where there is dry to throw to...while it's a bit too squirty on much longer patterns (although on high friction wood, I could easily play the Shark well with the GS).

On edit -- cover is designed to be more durable and absorb less oil, but still be as strong as ever.

Brand new core, brand new cover. You cant just compare numbers and expect the same ball reaction. The Gravity Shift will be a very good compliment to the Attitude Shift....cleaner through the fronts and midlane, but smooth and predictable at the breakpoint

My good friend and fellow southpaw, Super Senior PBA player, Jim Scott, shot a 300 with his new Gravity Shift today.

He's confident he'll shoot big with it at T-Byrd Lanes Senior PBA Regional this weekend.

For those that have thrown the Gravity. How would it fit (depending on drilling) between my Special (drilled for strong arc) and my regular Shift (drilled max flare/hook). When my Special isn't quite turning the corner, or picking up a bit early, more often than not my Shift is too strong in the back. Lokking to fill the gap. Thanks

So I picked up a Gravity Shift at a seminar yesterday and I drilled it up to try on my second shift league last night.  I drilled it 4x4 with a 2 1/2 pin buffer.  I figured I'd try the ball at box finish first before I started tinkering.

During practice I alternated between my Agent, Shift, and the Gravity Shift to get a sense of the differences.  The Gravity Shift definately started the transition to roll earlier than the Shift and similar to the Agent.  However, while the Agent is more skid/arc for me the Gravity was a smoother transition to roll.

Interestingly enough for the league shot my carry was much better with the Agent, but that was more of an angle of entry thing since it was relatively easy to get to the pocket with the Gravity.  I am probably going to experiment with the cover next (either 2000 or 4000) to get some different looks.  However, as far as I was concerned the Gravity fits in the same spot as the Agent.

KR and Monster,

I have only thrown mine a couple of times, so I am still unclear on what I am seeing yet. I did try it on our house shot side by side with the Domination and seen some of the same charachteristics, but the Gravity seemed a little cleaner thru the front. Of course, both balls were striking quite a bit so maybe the operator was just having a good day.

I would like to give mine some more lane time and side by side testing, before I give any advice/information on it. This way it can be a little more accurate.

I have the attitude shift, domination, and just pick up the gravity shift. attitude shift and domination is drill cranker. The gravity i drill with tweener. The gravity balls actually reacts earlier and the attitude reacts a bit later pass mid lane. Both balls are great. The new coverstock on the gravity is more durable than the pass few balls.

its in my opinion longer and stronger but it has a real smooth roll to it out of box in practice i shot 758 its a good complement to my attitude
