X FACTOR
« on: March 03, 2005, 12:25:14 PM »
YAY, tomorrow i get my x-factor. Im not sure what i want to do with it, i know almost everyone who has thrown it loved it, so what i think i am going to do is bring the pin up ofer the fingers for length, but i dont know where to put the mass bias (RAD) I bowl on med wood lanes in good shape. Oil pattern is 10x10. My league on fridays is older wood lanes with also 10x10 but the leady sry out REALLY fast, and the backends get choppy..which drilling could bring the the best reaction on both for skid flip??

I have similar specs to you and of the 4 x-Factors that I have had the one that I like best and has proved to be the most versatile on a variety of conditions is drill pin above fingers 5.75" to PAP and RAD in the strong position.

I bowl on wood, 44' medium load tree pattern, with strong backends.

I have a small amount of axis tilt which gets everything I roll into a roll a bit sooner than average, so you may want to go a touch stronger say 5" pin to PAP.
Even at this Pin to PAP distance I still get nearly as much flare as the strongest drilled I have had which was 3.75" to PAP MB strong, only about 1/2" flare difference.

STORM TRACK

If you get caught in the Storm Track beware it could be a Typhoon or Monsoon with Rolling Thunder and Lightning Flashes that when Unleashed may send splintered Wood flying everywhere.
