i am thinking about polishing my ace to use on shorter oil patterns, any suggestions on what product to use.

Whatever you do, don't dull it. Dulled mine and it burns up.

Well, the Ace already comes polished, so I am assuming over time you've let it dull a bit.  My suggestion is to sand it up some first (maybe 4000 grit Abralon) and then polish it with Reacta Shine.

For the time and work involved I personally would get another ball.  The best medium-light pearl particle ball on the market IMO is the RotoGrip Venus.  Very smooth and it would match up well on shorter oil.
