Has any one had a chance to compare the Duece to the Cherry Bomb?

iv never tossed a cherry bomb but since your not getting any posts ill tell you about my duece...mine came with a light polish but iv seen them come sanded as well and i left it polished, its drilled up leverage for max flare and it is one very very strong bowling ball, this is my heavy oil ball however iv used it on fresh league and tournament shots and it handled them well too...even with the strong drill its a smooth ball not jumpy at all and even with the light polish it handles carrydown adequately... i hope this helps you, feel free to email me if you have any other questions...

pnj1967,

I'll chime in about the Cherry Bomb. The pearlized cover allows the ball to clear the heads very easily and the strong core makes the ball very aggressive on the backend. It can be used on everything but the two extremes. It's best suited for a medium to heavy shot with clean backends, but can be used on drier if you go deeper or change hand positions. This is the most aggressive pearl I've ever used, aggressive but not uncontrollable. The move off of the dry is strong but not snappy. I think that the major difference that you'll see between these two balls is that the Deuce will want to grab the lane sooner, and it might be better on carrydown due to the solid cover. However, I've never seen a ball that is as versatile as the Cherry Bomb, and that hits that hard! I know that Lane 1 is a little more expensive, and before using the Cherry Bomb I would probably have said that it wasn't worth it. However, in the three weeks that I've had my Cherry Bomb I've averaged over 240 with it in league and tournaments. This ball is a winner.

Thanks Gene. I have the Cherry Bomb and I agree with you. I won a Duece and was wanting to know how close to the Cherry Bomb it was, maybe like you said on carry down.
Just trying to get some ideas.
