deuce vs super charge
« on: December 10, 2003, 05:32:48 AM »
i currently have a deuce that is 1500 polished. i throw the ball 17-18 mphs, med revs and 45 degree axis. i was thinking about getting a super charge for when my deuce is just not enough. is this what im lookin for. i was planning on drilling it strong and keepin it in box condition. any and all advice is welcome. thanx

Thanks for your question... If you had both the Deuce and the Super Charge drilled exactly the same with the same surface preparation, you should get more skid and more backend reaction out of the Deuce..So if your Deuce is polished to 1500, no matter what the layout, you can go with the box 800-grit satin finish and same layout (as your Deuce) with the Super Charge when you are looking for an earlier reaction, especially slick heads and midlane portions.

The Super Charge will be good to use when Deuce is not enough in the 'heads and midlane', but if the Deuce is not enough in the 'backend', you would want to go to an aggressive pearl like the XFactor or maybe Reloaded.

Best of luck,

Steve Kloempken

Steve,

What about in the box finishes of both balls?  I have just picked
both but haven't drilled the Deuce yet.  I was surprised at the smoothness
of the S/C and the backend, but it went a lot longer than I expected (and great
reaction on the back).
I Plan on using these as a potential 1 - 2 (in any order) in my house where
it's fresh med-heavy oil with carrydown early.

Any insight will be appreciated.

Bill

the deuce has enough backend its just sometimes it would just go a little to long before snapping and not making it all the way back to the pocket.

I just bought a NIB Deuce but did not get a top 20 drillings booklet?  Is it available online?

sir-bowl-alot-i dont kno if u can get it online but i kno it came with my deuce, i would try to find out for u and if i do i would post it here.

mike-i got my deuce and i left it in box finish for awhile and my bowling style i would seem to leave alot of 8 and 9 pins so i polished it and no im carrying almost everything. it hooks alot more on the backend now and has more length. but i bowl in many leagues that ball murders almost every shot. but when i find a house that has alot of oil it seems to just slide before it break. ima get the super charge and not polish it so that when i hit more oil i would murder on that shot to. the super charge hooks earlier and more in just about every way the deuce can.
