I own one and it is awesome, jsut as long as there is some oil.  Otherwise it needs to stay in the bag.  I got rid of my Re-Loaded and Fear Factor and let this ball take their place in my arsenal (which include: XXX, XXX Extreme, ACE, Deuce, ReCharge and a STORM Baseball).

It is a great ball, just needs the right condition, it also works well polished.

I didn't buy one because I can only use my XXX for maybe a game and a half before I put it away.  Maybe if the house I bowl at starts to add more oil I'll consider, but until then it would be a $200 paperweight

I have one and I love it. As the oil goes away, I just move deeper. On the conditions I bowl on, the Depth Charge is always the first ball out of my bag and the Extreme is next.

I love this ball!  I got it to replace my aging deuce, and the reaction is very similar but the carry is phenominal. I have it fairly dull at the moment so i can use it on heavier oil but for this reason i have only really used this ball 3 or 4 times so far.  The very first time I used this ball in a league was on a "sport shot" (read... easy) First game  276.  I ended up shooting 743 wich is my high (sanctioned) series. And tonight i was able to use it in a post-bowl the last 2 games after I realised my Intense Inferno was going way to long. I shot 210 then went front 8 ten pin and ended up shooting 268 after mental errors in the tenth. Overall I am extremely pleased with this ball and would love to get another one and drill it weaker so i can use it on drier shots too!

Thanks for the warning Inverted!  I really haven't dinked with the cover yet except for when I first got it and sanded it. For the moment anyway, I have better equipment for dry.  I really like storm equipment and can't wait to see what they come out with next!   Thanks again.

Bill,
Be careful on your use of "sport shot". It's not read "easy". Only since you clarified did I know what you meant. Sport shot usually means "quite difficult" and scores tend to be really low on a sport shot.

A very agressive ball, as stated above it requires head oil. I have done a mild cover touch up finishing with 1000 grit abralon, then added a light coat of 3M compound to give "her" a little shine. It also gives the ball a bit more length, and gives it a more angular entry angle.
