I'm down here in Vegas at the regional players championship. I used my Deuce the first day of qualifying, and it looked "ok", but didn't carry very well.
How many games should I get out of a Deuce?
I bought this one in April, and it probably has 60-80 games on it. It is cleaned after EVERY use, and deep cleaned every 10 games or so.
Anyone else find the same thing?

The pattern was abut 35-40 foot, and yes, the lanes were synthetic.
It definitely acted like ball rollout - some of the time - not all.
The day I mainly used the deuce, I'd tried the Rev earlier, and it was sliding, so I pulled out the deuce to hit the oil. I just moved right for carrydown, but I never got the reaction I was looking for.
Instead of lane condition, I might have been using too aggressive a hand position for the condition...
I'll try it again this weekend if there's enough oil, and try altering the hand position.
Since I'm on the road this week, I don't have access to my spinner and all my polishes and stuff. I did actually hit the ball VERY lightly with green scotch brite on Sunday, but when I tried it in practice, I put it away for the day. I only used it on Saturday.

I can safely say that in my experience with storm balls is that they are very very sensitive to oil.  i have an old trauma, and now my deuce.  both balls are so sensitive to carrydown that if i use them they do just go straight.  when i am having problems with them just skating and skating i will usually pull out either one of my old columbia balls or one of my track balls.  Storm is a really good company but when you get some carry down or if the lanes are flooded, put the storms away and pull out somethin else.  if im wrong in what im saying then fire away.  my bullet proof vest is on.
