Title: XXX extreme VS. Animal Untamed
Post by: bowler0821 on June 23, 2004, 11:27:03 PM: Hey I would like to know which one will out do the other for heavier oil. Also if any of these are like the ultimate inferno or better since I have heard so many good things about that ball. Now I am all storm but the Animal Untamed caught my eye and it seems good and I have heard a few good things on it I just want the best ball for me. I throw about 15-19 mph, good amount of revs, and right handed. Please let me know which is best write me here or e-mail me at slime2129@aol.com.

Not sure what to drill, drill a Storm there is no better.

Post by: Bowlnrd on June 24, 2004, 08:25:47 PM: I have not rolled the extreme yet(its on its way) or the animal but i hear for heavy oil xxxtreme is suposed to be really great. If your a storm guy like i am then i would go with it.

Post by: pnj1967 on June 24, 2004, 08:40:49 PM: bowler0821, The Animal Unleashed is for med/med heavy oil. If you are wanting some thing for heavy/heavier oil the Animal would be a better choice for you, in the Tack line up.

Post by: Lane Bed on June 25, 2004, 12:44:21 AM: The Untamed was designed to be a skid/snap ball. It works well on medium to heavy oil patterns. If you want to use it in heavy oil take it down to 320 or consider an Amimal. I have just a touch of polish on mine (it is drilled S/S) and it outhooks my Inferno but the best part is that it is the "best" carring ball that I have ever owned. Carry is everything today. This ball will not dissappointment you.

Post by: thegame on June 29, 2004, 10:45:24 AM: This is just me, but I can't use reactives on true heavy oil, with my rev rate of 270, I just don't have the hand for it, if you do, then the Triple Xtreme would probably be perfect. My Triple Xtreme is drilled to go long, so it does skid in heavier oil, but if the backends, or outsides have just a little dry to work with, this ball is almost unstoppable. Has as much recovery as anything out there when you give it just a bit of dry to work with. My heavy oil ball, just in case you're wondering is the Fear Factor dulled, but that is probably too much ball for the big handed on any shot.
