XXX Factor vs.
« on: January 25, 2004, 09:28:03 AM »
Check profile. Newer bowler. Looking for a good ball to play outside down-and-in
and also across the middle. Down-and-in is a popular shot 'cause it works here, but because of that I also like to play a little different line than everyone else so I'll move left and play inside and swing it out a little.
I'm looking for a ball that will turn the corner w/ a good entry angle and hit hard when playing over the middle. I've found a good line for my X-Factor to be right foot left of 20 on approach, throw over 4th dot and ball drifts to about 5-10 area. (When that shot starts coming in too heavy I move to 25 on approach and throw over 22 at dots) I'm looking for something a little more aggressive than my X.
I saw the Killer Instinct Pearl (on the rack) and it looks great. This ball also seems to have good reviews and have a strong backend. Some described it as the "most aggressive pearl they've ever seen". You guys may be a little biased since I'm posting this in the Storm area, but what's your take on these two head-to-head, or others. (I know the XXX is yet to be released, but on paper it seems to do the job, and there is a review posted on bowlingballreviews.com)These two have similar RG's and Diffs, both pearl reactives.

The XXX-Factor is supposed to be alot more aggressive in the backend then the original X.  I got my XXX-Factor drilled up yesterday (drilled pin above ring finger, RAD 1 1/2" right of thumb), I am right-handed with average speed and average revs.  I plan on throwing it this afternoon, I will post my results later this evening.

Hope This helps...
