Well the new season is almost here and this is what I am starting out with.
Fear Factor (Heavy Oil)
Depth Charge (Med-Heavy)
Hot Rod (Med)
Barb Wire (Med-Dry)
Hit (Dry)
Football (Spare)
I am hoping that Storm comes out with a replacement for the Fear Factor soon as I have not had much success with it. I still think their best heavy oil ball was the Trauma Response. What's everyone else starting out with this year?
-
Heavy-Charcoal Executioner
Medium-Polished Triple X/Bruiser
Light-Green gargoyle
and hopefully getting a spare ball soon.
--------------------
16 years and still going strong! 16 years old that is!
The names Warrior Princess, Xena..Warrior Princess
And why would I "saw" pins in half, THATS A WASTE OF PINS!
-
I think that's way too many balls. You'll just confuse the heck out of yourself.
Im going with:
Heavy oil - XXXtreme
All other - Razor Wire
Spare - Storm Spare

because you might not get there."

Phenom Unleashed for fresh oil
Triple Threat for medium oil
Dry Heat for light oil
Plastic for that stinkin' 10 pin
Many other balls to tinker with if none of these work!
Oh yea, I hope to be adding a Rule to the bag too.

Evolutionary. Revolutionary.
-
Heavy: Triple X-factor
Med-Heavy: Reloaded
Medium: original X-factor (replacing with Depth or Recharge or new X-factor)
Light: Barbed Wire or Sonic X (still deciding)
Control: Tour Power
Spares: Storm Spare Ball
Other Balls:
X-factor World 2003 (deuce)
Truama Recovery
Tritan Heat
Soccer Ball

I am downsizing this year and keeping it as simple as possible.
Animal Untamed- Med/Hvy
V2 Sweet- Med
Red/Teal Power Groove- Light
Optyx Dragon- Spare
Depending if needed I may pull out a Super Freak if its really heavy.

I don't know why I don't see very many of the best oil balls on the market atop these arsenal lists. Here's mine (projected):
Wet - Ultimate or Raging Inferno*
Medium/benchmark (arc) - Fuze Eliminator
Medium (flip)- Element Au79
Medium (arc) - Classic Zone
Med/Dry (control) - Thing
Med/Dry (flip) - Vendetta Pearl
Dry (control) - Crisis
*I am getting both but will carry only one. These are the best revving and hitting oil balls out there, the Ultimate especially. I will only carry 5 of these balls at a time, and they will vary depending on the lane surface I will be bowling on. I don't use a plastic ball because it takes up space for another condition ball. Darn college bowling rules for only 5 balls per person. But, that is what I got.

I almost never get to see dry lanes, so here's what I'm going with:
Heavy: Ultimate Inferno
Med-Medium Heavy: Full Throttle
Medium: Detour
Medium light: Super Sonic (still deciding)

Medium/Heavy - Freak
Medium - Inferno, Jackhammer, Crimson Executioner, RR Fuze
Light/Medium - Green Gargoyle, Dynothane Special EFX, Igniter
Light/Burnt - Speed Demon
-
I mix and match what balls I bring with me depending on the house (I know, it's overboard). In general I'm going with -
Super Charge (Med-Heavy Inside Line)
Depth Charge (Heavy Outside Line)
Charge Pearl (Med-Dry)
I may pick up a Heavy Oil Inside Line ball (XXXtreme) or a Dry ball (Barb Wire, Hot Rod, or RG Sonic X) through the season
-
Brian N,
As always I like your list!
Just got my Razor Wire!

In the 4-ball bag carried to most leagues in the area.
1. Solid Uranium/Heavy
2. Uranium/Medium
3. Bullet/Light
4. Plastic/Spares
Should cover the basics for what I need on the standard league night. In the car will be everything else I have in my profile for other circumstances or the occassional tournament. Wups this was the Storm forum.

I should just quit bowling, oh wait I already tried that.
Now that I am back and my Saws are sharp again, I am ready to cut some wood.
-
not sure how this will work...
Heavy: ENG Drilled strong about 600 grit
Med: ENG Drilled strong about 1500 grit
Light: ENG Drilled weak about 2000 grit
Spare: Maxim

Heavy Oil: Warp Zone
Med/Heavy: Mutant (rolly drilling)/Triton Elite Solid (Oh yeah!)
Medium: V2 Solid/Tour Power
Medium/Dry: Colossus (rolls like a Urethane ball)
White Dot for spares.
Of course there are many other balls I have that will be rotated throughout the early part of the season as well:
El Nino X-it, Trauma Recovery, WOW, V2 Strong, Silver Streak Pearl, Blue Hammer, Eraser Pearl Particle, and anything new I pick up between now and then.
--------------------
Swallowing a quarter is nothing to worry about.....if she craps out two dimes and a nickel.....then I'd worry.
-
Heavy - Angle Evolution Tour II (until I get the Ultimate Inferno)
Medium/Heavy (outside)- Diesel Particle
Medium/Heavy (inside) - Depth Charge
Medium (arc) - SmashR
Medium (flip) - Inferno
Medium/Light - Hawk
Light - SlayR
--------------------
When the bowler that I am meets up with the bowler I ought to be; I'll be one bad Motherf%&$r!

Fall Arsenal:
Brunswick Swamp Monster
Brunswick Inferno
Brunswick Power Groove Reactive
Storm Spare
Pinch-hit:
Brunswick Ultimate Inferno (for special occasion, great ball)
Storm X Factor (half inch pin placement, don't like this ball, also need need new grips)
Ebonite Prime Time (very weak pin action with ball, don't like it)
Track RevMaster (need new grips, very strong cover, solid ball, I wish Track remake this one, and EMB XF, contact me if you have NIB 14lb, with minimum 2.5 inches pin placement)
I can't believe I have that many Brunswick balls.

here's what I'll consider my favorites .. I have many that I will substitute. I bowl in three different houses and see many conditions. Always try to anticipate and take 'no more' then 3 balls to a session:
TNT .. Heavy
Golden Nugget .. med/hvy
Triumph .. med
Crash .. med/dry
Viper or Justice pearl ... dry
Can't wait for the season to kick off
