Ball NPS Score: 100.00

- Color: Black/Purple/Yellow All colors do vary somewhat from the picture shown.
- Coverstock: Gen MA (Moderate Angle)
- Finish: 800 Abranet, 1000, 2000, 4000 Abralon, Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish
- Core: Track Symmetric
- RG: #16/2.58 #15/2.57 #14/2.56
- Differential: #16/0.023 #15/0.029 #14/0.036
- Recommended Lane Condition: Medium to Dry Oil
- A few tiny pit holes in the cover stock of the ball are normal
- Description:
Manufacturer’s Intent: With the release of the 300A, we wanted to design a ball that would complement the 300C & 300T in our lower-mid performance category. In order to accomplish this, we needed to use the perfect combination of core and cover. During our product development stage, we found that combining our Track Symmetric Core and Gen MA cover provided us with the right look on the lanes.
Core: The Track Symmetric Core allows the 300A to push through the front part of the lane with ease storing power for the back end of the lane. This is accomplished in part by the medium-high Rg and low differential of this core.
Cover: Our Gen MA (Moderate Angle) cover is a perfect match for medium to dry lane conditions. This is one of the lowest friction covers that we offer. This is perfect for when there is too much friction for many of today’s high-performance bowling balls.
Finish: The 300A comes with our standard polished factory finish. We accomplish this by starting with 800 Abranet and then working our way up with 1000, 2000 and then 4000 Abralon before we apply our Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish. Those looking for a little less length can achieve it by sanding with a 2000 Abralon pad and then re-polishing.
Overall: The 300A is sure to be the first ball out the bag when the front part of the lane burns up and the back ends get tight. This new release will push through the front when other balls won’t, maintaining the angular reaction at the back end of the lane that is expected from our “A” series.

I drilled a 300A and was surprised by the length and recovery. The 300A will be a ball that will come out of my bag when on shorter patterns. The layout on the 300A was 70X 5 1/2 X50 or Pin over the fingers with no hole. The pattern I threw the 300A on was a house pattern roughly 35 feet long with mediun to light volume of conditioner. I did not change the cover or anything and ball was clean through the front and consistent but strong reaction on the backend!

The 300A does not love oil but if you keep the hold to the left (me being right handed) and the friction to the right... The ball is a winner!

I look for that with every ball I put in my hand. Hold to the left and friction to the right that is

Another nice addition by Track. Not incredibly versatile for me, but I don't believe its intended to be. I have mine drilled Rico and I really like it for the dry conditions. I threw it on a house shot and it allowed me to play much further right then usual. It didn't over react to the dry, but still read the lane nicely in the oil.

I think this ball could be a great bench mark ball for guys that are very rev dominant. It will be a great dry lane ball for average styles that like a clean and slightly angular but not too angular motion. For those that have a 508A, you should drill it the same as your 508 and it will fit with the 508 like Batman and Robin.

Great ball for the price, and a great conclusion to the 300 series.

Let me start by saying I have just loved the first two 300 series balls so when I heard we where getting another I was pumped! Needless to say this ball is great, when the lanes start breaking down and you see friction, this is the ball for you. It's just super clean through the front and makes a nice move down lane. It's not so jumpy that is not controllable either. I would recommend this ball for sure!!

Decided to drill this one to be for the very late blocks of long tournaments. In game 12 it was the best piece I had. I really needed to get deep and open up my angles. Playing 6th arrow with this ball on the burn proved to be fairly easy with good hitting power, which I felt was something that the higher performance balls lacked when getting this far to the left. The ball seemed to store energy much better than its counterparts, the C and T, as well. Overall a great ball for when the lanes are getting to be a little toasty and the need to move in and create more angle in the front of the lane is there.

COMMENTS
Carry - Ball carries better than any other ball in it's performance range than I've ever thrown. Within 6 days of drilling this ball and 2nd set of league, I shot my first sanctioned 300.
Likes - Extremely clean through the front end. My 300T hooks easily 4-6 feet sooner. Angular motion creates a great entry angle to knock pins down on a fresh house shot, or a broken down sport shot.
Dislikes - Does not handle medium/Heavy oil well.
Other -I got my hands on my staff 706A last week, and can tell you first hand that this ball fits perfectly behind the line from 706 to 508 and now the 300A. I like that Track offers 3 different ball motions in each series of their equipment. By doing so, every bowler can fill any gap they find in their bag.

Finally got enough games in with the 300 to feel confident about putting a review up.  Drilled mine up 55x5x40 and I am quite impressed with the ease that this ball gets down the lane while still having the energy to get the corner pins out.  On a couple shots where the 300C just wasn't enough to make the turn, the 300A has made it easily.  I would recommend this ball on the drier patterns or for the newer bowler who is buying their first reactive ball.

lanes need to be super dry to use this piece but if they are this ball is money. I had the back 8 in a row with it the other day :)

i have a pretty heavy roll, and I usually find a way to throw this ball or the 300T every set and score great.

Likes: Track's newest release in the Lower Mid Performance series, the 300A, is a great ball for light to medium oil house shots and shorter to medium length sport and PBA patterns where controlling the friction is necessary.   I went 4" from my PAP with the pin on this ball and knocked the original surface off of the ball before drilling, breaking the cover with 1000 grit, then up to 2000 grit and 4000 grit, then polishing with Powerhouse Delayed Reaction, this gives me easy length through the front part of the lane despite the stronger pin placement, and the Delayed Reaction helps the ball maintain a nice smooth transition once it reaches the drier boards in the backend

The reaction that this ball gives at this price point is on par with the value one would get from a C300 Freeze, Freeze Hybrid, or Freeze Solid, I firmly believe that this is one of the best balls out on the market at the Lower Mid price point and is a great step up from any of the beginner level bowling balls that are on the market right now

Dislikes: The only dislike I have about this ball is that it doesn't handle any higher volume of oil very well, however, I have been able to duplicate the shape that the 300A gives me with a 718A that is similarly drilled which can handle heavier volumes of oil so this certainly isn't a knock on the ball, just an observation

Likes:  All I can say is WOW!  Drilled my 300A 70 x 4 1/2 x 30.  Before I threw it, I knocked the surface down to 1000-2000 + factory finish polish.  With that surface, the ball got through the front of the lane very well, and actually went a bit too long.  Tried to move a few boards right and square up, and the ball read early and went through the face.  Then I took the surface down to 500-1000-4000, and the next 10 shots I threw were all strikes.  Gets through the fronts very well, and starts to pick up a roll close to the friction and gives a nice little "Hey how's it goin" type motion on the back.  I firmly believe that this ball can compete with the cyclone, and freeze series as I see similar motions from all 3 balls.

Dislikes:  For how I throw the ball, this ball went a bit too long with polish, but once I adjusted the surface, it reacted much better and gave me the motion I like to see.  Don't be afraid to scuff the surface up a little bit if your ball is going a little too far down the lane.

This ball is what I feel Track has been missing in its line, as a power player bowling in rock piles this ball  has allowed me to square up and play the lanes straight, I have it drilled pin above bridge, it rolls clean through the fronts and perdictable reaction on the back end with a great carry.
