Likes:  This ball sure did surprise me the first time I threw it down the lane!  I never had much success with the 706A. I tried many different surfaces, along with a few different drillings, and never had much success with that ball.  With the stronger cover on the new 706T, I was very excited to get this ball in my hands.  I drilled it 60 x 5 1/2 x 40 which puts the pin above my bridge and the mass bias to the right of the thumb.  My rev rate is around 350, 18.5 MPH off the hand, 40 degrees of axis rotation and 5-7 degrees of axis tilt.  This ball is a monster!  It really reads the midlane very well and is a smooth strong arc down lane.  I can see myself using this ball on heavier volumes of oil, along with longer patterns.  I loved the 912T, but didn't use it much because it hooked a bit too much for me.  The 706T is a great step down from the 912T with the same shape.  It is cleaner through the front part of the lane compared to the 716T with a bit more backend motion.  If you like that "T" motion, this is definitely a ball you will need to get in your hands!

Dislikes:  Absolutely none so far...

LANE CONDITION

Length:37ft

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): THS

COMMENTS

Layout: 80 x 4 3/8 x 30
One of the best upper mid balls I've thrown in a few years from any brand

Likes:The Helmet core from the 706A is super clean through the front part of the lane with strong energy on the back end. And the Strong cover from the 716T provides Tracktion and grab off the back end of any pattern. If you liked either of these balls even a little bit, then you will LOVE this ball

Dislikes:Strong dull cover gets "cover shine" or lane shine, and it needs to be cleaned regularly.

I drilled this ball as my pin up dull for the first ball out of the bag on the fresh condition.  With the dull surface there needs to be oil, when there is enough oil this ball really performs well.  Shot 300 with it in practice a couple weeks ago.  This will be my benchmark ball going into the bowling season.   Thanks Track!

First let me say I was really surprised how clean this ball was thru the front part of the lane the combination of the core and cover stock is definitely a winner. This ball works great on heavy oil but when you can use it WOW does this ball hit. I drilled pin up above the ring finger rolls clean and strong at the backend, this ball doesn’t have the overall hook of a 912t but allows you to play a little more right thus giving a better angle to the pocket it’s not as early rolling as the 716t it fits right between the two. I can see this ball making ne very happy this season.

Dislikes: does seem to soak up oil rather quick. make sure you keep it clean

I purchased the 706T last week, used it in a typical house shot.  It reacted well, with a strong smooth move to the pocket.  It's a ball that needs oil to react like it should.  The pin movement and mix is great.  The ball is drilled with pin below and between fingers.  It gives me a look that I've been missing, hope it doesn't die out...

Likes: Love the core/cover combo on this ball. For a 7 Series ball it is very aggressive and has a nice backend finish. The ball definitely needs oil to get the perfect reaction.

LANE CONDITION

Length: 41Ft and 42Ft

Volume: 24mL total

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): Beaten Path and Modified House Shot

COMMENTS

The layout that I choose for this ball was drilling #3 on the original track drill sheet (made adjustments according to my PAP with relation to the wording on the sheet) My PAP 2 1/4 over 1/8 up 17.5 mph ball speed.

This ball is extremely readable and not to much off the spot I have not tried to use it on a normal house shot.  However I have bowled with this ball on beaten path as well as a modified house shot that had the corners taken away.   On beaten path I was able to get in and play through the third arrow no farther right then eight down the lane.  The reaction is extremely readable and migrates to the pocket instead of making that big move, you can literally see this ball pick up and store the energy then roll and drive into the pins.  The ball never lost the finish and I didn’t have to force the shot at all just got it off my hand as clean as possible and watched it work.

On the modified house shot with the corners taken away I was able to square up and play through eight and or second arrow.  The roll on the ball was so strong, I was very surprised at how straight I was able to play.  I was able to stay in that zone for a couple games and after the lanes broke down I could move left and keep the ball in that same target area but later down the lane.  I was able to look at the tracer (or range finder or dark board whichever name is used) and watch the ball roll over it.   As the ball started to exit the pattern the move was strong not a snap but extremely continuous and never lost that drive.  I stayed with the box finish and haven’t altered the cover on this ball.  To me the box finish was a lot smoother then I thought I was really anticipating this ball being strong off the friction and I am glad it isn’t for me this is just the type of reaction that will keep you in the hunt if your bowling in a long format tournament and you don’t want to lose the pocket.  Of course we cannot strike every time, leaving make-able spares is always a great second option.
