What a breath of fresh air when we finally got our EZ-Money, on
the lanes and found that maybe someone at Track is NOT asleep at
the wheel!

The New "EZ-Money" features a new formulation cover stock called,

WOW Alex Rios was right on with this one; it out hooks the
Money by 2-4 boards and hits great. I drilled it 4x1 to get
a softer angle for over/under on synthetic and it produces
with fantastic results. In our league championship last
night I was able to even circle the ball a little which is
hard for a straight player. A must for any bowlers bag.

Well...after waiting three weeks for it to come in the mail from bowlingindex.com (not their fault on the length of time, I live overseas and they offer the best prices and shipping rates to an FPO address a must recommend for those internet buyers, but please if you live stateside...SUPPORT your PROSHOP!!).

OK the ball...15.3, 3OZ top, 3in. Pin.  
Went with Track's #2 layout...label...3 3/8 x 5, med to high speed bowler with a fair amount of hand.  With this layout I got an amazing 6inches of flare...a bit more than I was expecting.

After bowling three quick practice games before league the night I drilled it, I was a bit lost, I didn't know where this ball was going to make it's move, maybe shot a 400...but was just trying to figure the ball out.  I stuck with it during league practice, moved in a bit (like standing 40 swinging out to 18-20 at the arrows and about out to 8-10 at the breakpoint), on medium to heavy oil, 37ft ....and WOW the hit and breakpoint prediction was there...shot a sneaky 605 (should have been much higher but I had 2-3 opens each game, should have used the plastic on spares).

This ball does what it Track says, more length and flip ....after seeing so many Money's in the house I bowl, I knew what the flip would look like...well this one does get that extra 5-10 feet and then make a move that is just as hard as the original Money.

Get it close to the pocket and watch the pins dance.  I am hoping to use this ball on a oil sludge pattern this Sunday...will post another review then.

For reference, my last reviews covered my two erasers, the blaze and the boost, but since I had to switch back to 15 lbs because of elbow problems.

So I purchased off of my friend, who drills off of my specs, a Global Assault and this, the EZ Money. I am a cranker who throws 18-19 mph.

This ball was drilled with the pin above the fingers and the cg slightly kicked out.

Well, the name of the coverstock of this ball says it all, WOW! This ball is already the best ball I have ever thrown. I am averaging 240 with this ball for 30 games at three different houses. This ball is unbelieveable! For a particle ball, it gets down the lanes pretty far, and then, WOW, amazing backend recovery! It is also very versatile. I have been able to use it on everything from medium-light oil to an extreme flood and it has worked tremendously! Straight up the outside or deep inside, this ball kills 'em from anywhere. An absolute must have ball.

10/10. Just like my 16 lb Money, this ball is extremely versatile. Gives a different look than the Money, more of a skid/snap look. Tremendous ball. Hitting power is even better than the money. I may purchase another Money in 15 to replace my Global Assault. After my success with the EZ Money, and my previous with the Money, I figure it can't hurt. Bottom line: BUY ONE OF THESE.

Ball Specs: 15lb 3 oz., 3 oz. top,and a 3 in pin.  Drilled 4.5 x 4.5, wanted a ball with good length and great backend pop.  I bought this ball for heavier oil conditions with drier backends.  Something to use when there isn't carrydown, and open the lane for my ARC.  Well this ball is awesome.  Handles head oil very good, and really booms on the backend.  The box condition isn't too good on carrydown when the ball is swung a lot.  But going up the boards with carrydown works great.  The carry out of this ball is incredible.  Light hits carry awesome, and flush hits sound great.  If the ball skids too far it will leave 10 pins, or when the backends are really flying, it will leave 4-9s.  And surprisingly, this ball is very controllable when the head oil is there.  It rolls very hard thorugh the front, and continues on the back.  This ball works great on my house conditon for the first game and a half. After that I have been able to pull out my ER, but the sucess isn't as good as with the EZ Money.  So my summary of this ball is that it is a big backend, hard hitting ball, with good control.  As soon as i have enough money i am looking to buy a pioneer to control the backends a little more.  And if i am in a spending mood, im going to buy a stinger 2-piece low-flare to control drier heads.

Drilling - 5 x 5, no balance hole, 15lb 4, 2 1/2" pin

Well this particular drilling works really well for me down the edge traditionally as being rev challenged I don't throw enough angle to get good carry from inside.  The drilling offers med flare with good length and a strong arcing motion.

HOWEVER, this ball surprised me today when I swung it 12-8 on a relatively fair condition at out National championships (Australia) and carried almost everything.  The outside was out of play and I was itching to use this ball so in practise I threw it a couple of times.  WOW!  Great clearance down the lane, breaking around 45-48ft with a very strong hard arcing motion towards the pocket.  Swinging 12-8 this ball was excellent.

This ball and drilling did exactly what I wanted it to and more!  I think because of the strong cover and weightblock this ball is a good alround finisher.  In terms of hook, it matched my Heat 2 which is drilled 3 3/8 x 3 3/8.

LENGTH:  8/10
OVERALL HOOK: 8/10
HITTING POWER: 9.8/10 (hey I haven't bowled 300 yet)
CONTROLABILITY: 10/10

I am bowling on a tough FIQ pattern tomorrow, I will add to this review then, at the moment, this ones a keeper!

Well 700 for my singles and 747 for my doubles, you'll get no complaints from me

PART 2


Well week 2 of the championships and I had the Freak with me so I pulled that out first (see post) with relative success but as soon the heads started to burn out came the EZ Money.  I am still amazed on how this ball turns the corner, one of the strongest prideciable balls I have ever thrown.  I floated the EZ Money 15-10, it skated for 40 feet and then started a hard arc to the pocket, resulting in strikes mainly.

This ball is the perfect all round ball and it will stay in your hand alot longer than most other balls due to its control and ability to clear the heads on a regular basis.  This is the first ball I pull out of my bag now (retired the Heat 2 to no.2) and chances are I won't be swapping from it too much at all!

Tracks on another winner 9.5/10

EZ Money, 15 lbs, 3 inch pin, 3 oz of tw.

Drilled 3 3/8 x 5. Used this ball on a synthetic surface 40 ft top hat pattern. Absolute devastation. I call this ball a "sleeper" because I dont see much of it. If if not mistaken the ICON came out shortly after this ball thus putting the EZ Money on the backburner. Nonetheless the EZ Money is a great ball. This ball is very weak in the hands of a stroker, but in my tweener hands it looks like im a pure power player. When crankers strap on the EZ Money you better duck for cover. If you dont put some hand in this ball it labors down the lane and doesnt hit very well. If you stay aggressive with it you have a very strong particle ball that behaves like a reactive.

Wow. I apologize for taking so long to get this out. But at least the review is reliable and complete. First, it is the second ball I have ever shot billz with. Extremely user friendly on sport conditions. Finished third in one tournament and won a doubles with it as well. Ball revs well in the midlane and gives a contiuous motions through the rack for tremendous carry. Additionally, this is the first ball I have had success with, with a pin more than four inches out from the PAP. If you want a go to ball, this is it. But I ask that you don't buy any, it takes away from my advantage!!!
