Wow, what a ball. I have this ball drilled for a smooth hook, and thats exactly what it does. It rolls similar to the Heat 2 except with a later breakpoint. It gets through the heads pretty well, and bites on the backs, with enough energy stored to kick out 10 pins. Can get a little unpredictable on dry lanes, but besides that, a great ball. Good job Track, this gets an 8 out of 10.

Drilled 4.5 x 4 - 3.5 inch pin out, 4 oz top weight. A drilling to go long and flip hard on the backend.

This ball's got some KICK! All my other equipment flares midlane (either due to pin position or coverstock) but this ball goes 40 feet before turning and burning. Yet it doesn't overreact. I have yet to try it on synthetic lanes, but on wood it turns up very well.

I've never felt a coverstock like this one. Columbia's right in describing HoloFlex - it's got a gritty texture but the ball still goes very long. It hits extremely hard as well. I can finally throw over 4th arrow even in long oil and this ball will recover and smash the pocket.

One advantage to this drilling is the ball still flares when it enters the pocket. In other words, there is a lot of hitting power conserved and the carry is excellent. If I make mistakes in my release, I'll leave splits or 10 pins, but other than that the ball is extremely aggressive.

It fits nicely between my La Nina and my Eraser. I'm glad I picked this one up.

Trauma ( I don't like this ball but I'm replacing it with the Voodoo)
I have a ton more but this is in my bag.

The heat 2 pearl is great and I had a problem at first trying to find my line at first. It seemed to react differently every time I released it. But after a couple of games its perfect. It's drilled to go long and attack bad at the break point. I have a lot of hand and speed. I'm changing to track equipment now. One because of this ball and the other reason is because its a great company. But whatever you do when the lanes break down put it up now. Don't try to KEEP IT GOING. Good luck and bowl track.

I bought this ball in the fall of 2001. Drill 4x4 to fit my medium rev medium speed style. Right out of the box it gave me the reaction and hit that I was looking for. It worked very well on medium-oiled lanes with fresh backends, but also handled carry-down allright. In fact, it was almost too strong for the light-oiled wood lanes of my "home" bowling center.

After 100-150 games the reaction became weaker and a track began to show in the ball. I had it resurfaced and shined back to about box condition. This did not help. It was still much weaker than when it was new. Now I can only get good results with it on light-oiled lanes with fresh backends. Tends to skid and hit weakly on carry-down.

I have recently tried to soak this ball in hot water to get oil out and also to dull the surface with Scotch-Brite. Nothing has helped - it is still much weaker than it was when new.

My dad bought this ball and it didn't do much for him so he gave it to me. It has been one of the best balls i have ever thrown. In the first week I threw my first and only 700, it was a 750. With in a month I shot a 691 with a 268. Before i got this ball my average was about a 175 and now it is a solid 190. Just a few weeks ago i shot my highest game ever 278. The shot can not be to oily or else the ball wont hook or carry well. That is why i am going to be getting a Ultimate inferno so i can play deep on oily shots.
Over all i give this ball a solid 10

Short review to start with, 16lb'er pin about 3" out, pin 1" outside ring cg at grip centre, 0 statics.

Took this out on a day old opened up house shot. This ball has been worth the wait so far. Just 3 games with it(mainly to avoid wearing the thing out!) was enough to tell me this is the best symmetrical core Track i've thrown. To me this ball combines the best features of all the old school Tritons. The ball has the Blues predictability, the Corals easy length, the Heats heavy roll and the Elites sharp break. Played a 10 out to 5 swing and the ball showed strong but very readable recovery from the dry and held well when you yanked one up into the wall. The ball gives the pins a real 'crack' and the wood stays low too, the 10 only stayed up when i used a tad too much axis rotation. 17 shots straight in the eye shows that it doesn't blow the condition out real fast either. Just have to keep an eye on the surface to keep it from dying before it's time i guess, message me or put up a post if any of you have got any tips on how to keep that surface alive. Thanks to Brenton Davy for passing this ball on to it's new home too.

Another ball has been raised from the discard pile!!! After i posted the first review our condition changed to a longer pattern that the Heat2 just didnt like, after a cleanup with 1200 wet/dry and magic shine i had a ball that was little skatier than i wanted so it went to the shelf. I recently decided it was too good for that fate and plugged it up for another trip to the press(4th and last!!!) I switched from a label drill to my fav pin under bridge layout with cg kicked to about 2" from PAP with balance hole 6" over. Took it out on a broken down condition with not much oil left in the fronts, it cleared the patchy fronts OK for about a game and a 1/2 before it started to dive early and head brooklyn. On this condition my next move is stand 10 and head up the boards(because thats where theres still oil in the heads!!) It cleared the fronts easy, the 10.30 layout helped it read the mids and it rolled up hard to the hole with superior hit to the old tricore Tritons, Its cleaner and stronger than its famous ancestor(which is still no slouch!) and with a change to a fresh part of the shell it's fingers crossed this thing has a long life. It fits right between my Phenom and Havoc(Phenom for the not so dry backs and Havoc for the lighter side of medium with this baby for fresh heads and dry backs with room to the right) I tested it side to side with my Combat Zone and its always cleaner through the heads than the early revvin B-ball, with the breakpoint a few feet later too, the roll is end over end to the pins with better carry than the label drill. Sure hope this thing is still kicking butt when i head up North, it'll bring tears to Aus Lefties eyes to see one of these in action again!!
