Holy hook!

Rarely do I see a ball go down the lane and have to hurry up and get another shot in, just so I can make myself believe what I just saw.

The Cyborg, like the Paradox, was one of those balls.

I threw this one for the first time on a pretty tight house pattern on synthetics and couldn't believe how it was able to make the corner and slap out the 7 pin with ease, even though the lanes were pretty soupy.

I then used it at a different center on wood lanes and fully expected it to burn up and potentially puke on the back.  To my delight, that didn't happen.

Last weekend I bowled a tournament that played VERY slick so I took a 1000 pad and lightly went over the cover by hand before we started.  This helped the ball see the lane a little quicker, but did not change it to the point of slowing it down through the pins.

I haven't used it a ton yet, but this one has quickly earned a slot in the bag.  If I had to recommend 1 ball of the new EBI toys to a friend to try, this would be the one I'd have to pick.

You won't be disappointed.

Layout:
5 x 3 3/4  PIN over bridge. Extra hole inside VAL.
BOX Specs: 3-4" pin, 3oz

Review:
I was in awe of the hitting power of this ball. It has excellent pick up in the mid-lane due to the core and cover combo. You can't beat a reaction like that for it's price-point. This ball reads the lane nicely and fits well for lanes with medium to high-medium volumes of oil. I see myself taking this one out of my bag quite often. Many times it's not how much the ball hooks but where it hooks. Compared to the Legion Solid, which was super smooth, the Cyborg is roughly 5 and 2 left. This will be a great tournament ball for flatter patterns and straighter lines. EBI is making great bowling balls and if you're not drilling any of them, you're missing out. This is another fantastic piece here.

The Track Cyborg is one of the most readable upper-mid performance balls I have thrown to date. I have read this ball to be advertised as a “baby paradox” – and I would agree!
We drilled my Cyborg with the pin up and above my middle finger with the CG in my palm aligned with the ring finger and the MB just right of my thumb. What I was expecting was a ball that would store energy through the heads and have a strong snap in the back end. What I wound up with is was a strong mid-lane roll and a more continuous, arcing motion in the back. To me, it rolls VERY similar to my Paradox – but cleaner through the heads. I could easily see using this ball on 39-45’ patterns either on fresh oil or as a transition ball if I wanted to play a similar part of the lane as the Paradox when the Paradox is rolling too early.
I believe this is an ideal ball for the upcoming fall league season on THS, and will be an asset in my tournament bag on PBA Viper and Chameleon patterns. We waited a while for a new Track release…and this was definitely worth the wait!!!

I drilled the Cyborg pin up with the mass bias in the thumb area to hopefully get some additional continuation on the backend that I haven’t been seeing on my regular pin up drillings.  This is working out just fine as I am leaving fewer flat 10’s.  I also changed the surface to 2000 to do a comparison to the Heat X-Treme.  The Cyborg is a couple of boards weaker than the Heat X-Treme so it will be as easy switch between balls.  Another good one from Track.

Thank you Track
