It's unstoppable!
It's intimidating!
It's Sheer Havoc!
And it's wreaking destruction wherever it goes. Harder synthetic lane surfaces and slicker oils -- and more of them -- are no match for Sheer Havoc. With Sheer Havoc we've battled the challenges of changing lane conditions and won. We updated the Heat 2 to match today's bowling environment, producing a ball that complements, but is different than, Havoc. Sheer Havoc is just as strong as Heat 2 on the backend but with more mid-lane control. Use Havoc on the fresher backends to control your breakpoint and follow with Sheer Havoc when the heads begin to hook. Then your game will be unstoppable, too.

Track Sheer Havoc:
Ball Specs

The ball being drilled was a 5” pin out with 2.75 oz top weight.

The drilling chosen was pin 3 3/8” from PAP and Mb 1" from PAP ( approximately 10 degrees); pin is above fingers, 3 3/8" above grip midline. Weight hole past axis pitched away at a 3 o'clock angle. V.A.L. offset 1 1/2" Drilling referred to as "Flip Dick" taught to me by "Mo Pinel"

Bowler Information:
Track diameter is 10 1/2.
PAP is measured at 5 1/4 over and 3/8" up.
Average ball speed (foul line to head pin) is 17 mph.
Axis rotation is typically 45 degrees
Initial rev rate is typically 300 rpm, "Tweener"

Thanks to Bill Monce from Track and Gus Yannaras our Track Rep for allowing me to test this ball.
REVIEW:
As long as you have clean backends and a easy shot the ball is awesome, but if there is oil outside or carry down comes into play the ball needs to be put away. I like the fact Track put the Animal coverstock on this ball to help with the overall hook and predictibility. Slower speed players will like this ball and the guys who strap the ball also will fall in love with this ball.

Compared to my other Track Balls:
Animal: The Havoc goes longer and "Revs" up as quicker. The Havoc backends harder and later.

Columbia Detour: The Sheer Havoc hooks earlier and more and allows me to swing the ball more on the same condition.

Definately a  skid/snap ball here. Highly recommend for the slower speed players or crankers. Thanks for reading me review.

Ball spec: 15lb 3, Pin 3", Top weight 2 3/4

Finish: polished with Clean and Shine (blue label bottle)

Drilling: 3 3/8 x 3 3/8, balance hole, 5 1/2 across, 1 inch drill bit 2 1/4 deep

Bowler: Lefty, stroker, medium revs, PAP 5 1/4 across 7/8 up

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this ball.  I have had a huge amount of success with the Enforcer core which included the Heat 2 and Assasin.  I was hoping this ball would be similar to the Heat 2, not a chance box finish!

The coverstock out of the box was way to aggressive (probably similar to an Enforcer).  I didnt want a ball like that so I polished it out of the box.  I used the 3 3/8 drilling on this ball as all my success with this particular core has all been with the same drilling, why change?

It did exactley what I wanted it to do, high flare, clean through the front with great angular movement through the back.  The good thing about this ball for me is that when I move deeper I can still generate great carry.  On the house shot I tested this ball on, 40ft fresh christmas tree pattern the ball was great.  Turned slightly less than the Untamed but started up ealier and was way more angular in its movement.

Bowled 228, 256 front 2 games playing 17 out to 8.  Like the Untamed this ball is very ugly but the hit is awesome.

For the people out there who like the Heat 2, Enforcer and Assasin this is a great ball for you.  Like it dull? leave it box finish, like it polished, just whack some polish on, it comes up straight away!  An awesome ball at a great price.  Don't let the specs fool you though, this one still turns a heap!

This is the first ball I bring out everytime I bowl now, I'm a huge fan!  Well done Track.  Now if they would just re-release the Heat 2 pearl with a better cover.............. well

9.5/10

3 inch pin with 3.5 oz top.  5 by 5. Used it on med-dry lanes.  Had a nice arch shape.  Really needs a little more oil to see the greatness in this ball.  Really impressed with the SHEER HAVOC

Picked this baby up used, what a gem for $40. It had less than 8 games on it.

Ball has a 3" pin, I drilled it pin under ring, cg swung out from grip center 2.5".

First shot, THS on the medium side. Dry outside of 7. This ball allowed me to open up the lane a bit. It is very angular at the break point. Not to the point where it is flippy but a very hard arc. Standing on 25, targeting 15 at the arrows and out to 8. This ball gets through the heads cleanly, reads the mids and then charges for the pin deck hard. The reaction is somewhat predictable but not to the point where its a control ball. Very impressed thus far.

Second shot, second shift THS. A bit heavier in the middle, some carrydown. Now this ball shines. Still gets through the heads and with there being more oil in the mids, it isnt as hard of a turn. More of a smooth arc. Still reads the lane well and charges back. Moved my line to standing on 22 targeting 13 at the arrows and hitting 10 at the breakpoint. Ball works very well on this shot.

Energy retention on this ball is very good. Much better than what I expected. It hits the pins hard and keeps them rather low. It carries very well for a midprice ball. I feel this is one of the hidden gems that Track released that not many people jumped on. They are missing out on a great piece of equipment here. Great ball for med-med/hvy. Even a bit of carrydown. Solid performer all around. I would have to give this ball a perfect 10!!

Sheer Havoc

layout
--http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr/wNjYyNzE3NnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D.jpg

Ball is surprisingly strong and VERY versatile.  I have had success with this ball polished AND dulled, which is more than I can say about most balls.

Polished
-This ball gave good length, especially for being a particle (low load, I believe?).  Didn't necessarily flip, but it wasn't real smooth either, more of a "hard arc".  Ball floated through the midlane and arc-ed REAL hard.  I would say polished this ball is stronger than the Xception (though I never threw them side by side so I can't really describe the reaction difference in detail) but not quite as strong as a Phenom Unleashed.

I consider the ball to be controllable just because it doesn't make a left turn on the backend, it's definitely more of a hard arc...however, as long as this ball was, it wasn't very forgivable.  Shots pitched too far right usually stayed right and either washed out or left a 2-8-10.

Have thrown the polished Sheer Havoc on a drier THS, as well as second-shift mess, and it just got good length and hard arc on the backend, nothing too special...but then I decided to dull the ball down to 600 grit...

**WOW**

Dulled
-The readability of this ball in oil is just amazing!  The 600 grit wet-sanded Sheer Havoc is just the right amount of hook for me in most medium-heavy oil.  No roll-out here, all you need is a trace of head oil and just watch this thing take off in the mid-lane.  Very strong check in the mids, with continuation on the backend!  Comparing the backend move of the dulled Sheer with the polished Sheer, I'd say they're VERY similar, except that the dulled Sheer will have already checked in the mids and it just keeps going on the backend!

Very strong reaction at the pins as well...unless the head oil is gone, this ball will store a lot of energy for the pin deck, even after making a strong move in the mids and the backend.

This ball has been too strong for the drier THS that I bowl on, but the second-shift lanes, where we often either see a puddle in the middle or all the oil pushed downlane, is where this ball stands out!

Overall--9.8, probably the most impressed i've been with a Track ball ever!
