I drilled 2

Ball 1: 70 x 5 x 40. Pin up over the bridge on the CL. Cg is kicked out abt 1/2" and I modified the surface going from 2K/polish to 4K/polish which gives me a straighter roll for use on the drier or on a down the boards and in line.

Ball 2: 75 x 4.5 x 40. Pin up over the ring. This gives me the ability to cover more boards so I can swing this ball to the out and hit with power.

The Tour X is a great piece and the DNA core is one of the best cores I've ever seen on the low end. You do need some friction for this ball to roll through the pin deck effectively. Great ball

LANE CONDITION: THS AND SUPER WET DRY

I HAVE USED THIS BALL TWICE SO FAR SINCE DRILLING IT. IN LEAGUE ON A HOUSE SHOT, ITS A 4 GAME SET IN THIS LEAGUE AND THIS BALL CAME OUT OF MY BAG AT THE BEGINNING OF GAME 3 WHEN THE LANES STARTED TO TRANSITION. WHAT I CAN TELL YOU, THIS IS A BALL THAT YOU WILL FIND VERY USEFUL WHEN THE LANES BEGIN TO TRANSITION AND YOU NEED A BALL THAT CLEARS THE HEADS AND MAKE A STRONG, FLIPPY MOVE IN THE BACK. I FOUND IT TO CLEAR VERY NICELY AND MAKE A MOVE OFF THE FRICTION THAT JUST EXPLODED AND KILLED THE PINS, I WAS VERY IMPRESSED AT THE WAY THIS BALL REACTED FOR ME AND MADE ME NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE A MAJOR MOVE WHEN CHANGING BALLS BECAUSE IT CLEARED THE FRONTS SO WELL.

MY NEXT EXPERIENCE WITH THIS BALL WAS ON A SUPER WET/DRY TOURNAMENT PATTERN WHERE YOUR BALL HAD TO GET TO THE RIGHT DOWN LANE OR WOULD HOOK, BUT AT THE SAME TIME NEEDED THE LENGTH AND FLIP TO BE ABLE TO STRIKE. RIGHT AWAY AFTER SEEING THAT THIS WHAT WAS NEEDED OUT CAME THIS BALL, AND IT DIDNT DISAPPOINT. BASICALLY EVERYTHING ELSE I TRIED WOULD CHECK TO EARLY WHEN IT HIT THE FRICTION, THIS BALL DID NOT. THE BALL GOT TO THE SPOT DOWN LANE VERY NICELY AND CAME OFF IT AGGRESSIVELY BUT NOT CHECK UP AND WAS JUST TREMENDOUS WHEN IT HIT THE PINS. AGAIN I WAS SUPER IMPRESSED WITH THE BALL MOTION, THE LENGTH IT CREATED FOR ME AND THE HITTING POWER.

I THINK THIS IS A BALL THAT PEOPLE NEED TO HAVE IN THEIR BAGS FOR SITUATIONS SUCH AS WHAT I DESCRIBED ABOVE, YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF USING THIS BALL A LOT MORE THAN YOU THINK!!!

Length:40ft

Volume:20-25mL

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):USBC white pattern on Brunswick Anvilane

The Tour X is at box surface I was standing 18 looking at 10 at the arrows, for me the Tour X was a little early for a pearl ball and I couldn’t get the ball to stop hooking playing straighter.  I moved three left which put me on 21 looking at 10.  The reaction after the slight move was really nice to watch I was able to get away from the early hook and see the Tour X start towards the 1-3 pocket once it was leaving the pattern.  A pearl ball being early but not extremely early is not bad as long as your able to move in the zone were enough oil is up front and then not too much friction inside or outside the pattern.  The Tour X for me is for those medium conditions fresh and or with games previously bowled on them.
