Lx05

I choose my light oil layout for the Lx05 60 x 5 x 60.  PAP 3 over  5/8 up 17-18 mph ball speed.  Which gives me pin to the left of my middle finger.  CG in my palm closer to the thumb, and MB under my thumb No x-hole needed.
My first look at this ball before even rolling it I was not sure how it would roll with the QR cover, I bowled on a 35ft sport pattern, wall street, and a tournament pattern.

On the 35ft pattern I was able to get as far right as I wanted to but I could not grab on the ball it would hit the friction and go left every time, however when I let the ball roll off my hand it had a very even and smooth reaction toward the pocket and it finishes very very well.  I moved in a little to see if I could get in the oil and hit the friction down the lane.  With the wet dry the Lx05 just couldn’t recover from being that deep playing in all that oil and then try to make it move off the friction.

On wall street I was able to play the lanes as straight as I wanted to and didn’t have to get way in and belly the ball to the right and watch it hook.  The energy that the Lx05 stored is pretty amazing as long as the lanes are being played correctly and the roll is strong this ball is going to be hard to put down.  I got way in a tried to bump the friction and it was to much oil in the middle for the Lx05 to recover.  Good thing is the ball is true to itself on the tougher pattern or a recreation pattern it really doesn’t want a lot of oil early or late.

On the tournament pattern I was able to play in the wet dry and in the dry were others around me are standing left of 20 (I am right handed) I am standing right of 20 and playing the lanes straight or getting the ball out a little and it would still recover and finish very very strong.  What was most impressive about the Lx05 on the broken down tournament pattern final squad of night it was a head shot that was put out over the previous squad break down.  I was able to stay in the dry as long as the oil would allow (as far as the oil moving around and down the lane do to plastic balls)

Overall the Lx05 is going to be a great ball for players with a higher rev rate if they want to play in or straighter, low rev bowlers will really enjoy this ball when the lanes break down because the times I rolled the ball off my hand without much or any side roll it was impressive.  Med rev bowlers as myself will have fun with this on various patterns we might not be able to stay with it as long but when we can use it that is going to be a great day/night.
