Nothing like sitting online for awhile and having a knock at the door. The new "HEAT" is here. Hopefully I have a chance to drill it up tonight or tomorrow and get back to you with my thoughts.

achappy,
I am just considering the layout now. I am not quite sure what I will want to do with it. I never had the original Heat.

I had the original Heat...what a great ball! I was lucky to get one of the ones that was swirled nicely. I laid mine out as follows:

Back when I used to throw / have it the ball made such a nice midlane read with a really hard arc. It was killer on my house pattern playing in the oil around the middle of the lane where most people had issues getting the ball to rev-up enough, but still kick out the corners.
Keep us posted on how it goes!

mediumrevs,
I do not have my camera "ready" yet...(icetink will chime in here any minute now*L*), but the best way to describe it is that is looks alot like the old C300 Cuda/C Pearl, with gold lettering.

I drilled it up and only threw it briefly.
I drilled the ball 5x 4.5...pin below the bridge, cg kicked out right and slightly above the thumb(long pin, 4 inches).
I threw it in comparison with what I used during league (Arsenal Angular, Slash, and Triple Threat). The Heat gets down the lane really well, 3-4ft further than the Slash, and even further yet in comparison with the Angular and the Triple Threat. It pulls up all at once and makes its move nicely to the pocket. For a ball that is "aged" so to speak, it really whacks the pins. I found myself being able to play almost any line on the lane that I wanted to.
I will post a mini review ASAP.

i don't know about that logo...kinda makes it look cheap doesn't it? who cares though!!! it's the heat!

More Track releases means EX and everyone else that can, should make more vids because bowling balls are sooooooo addictive. It's been hard controlling myself and not buying a ball since the Rule. I really want an Xception, GP2, Aggressive, Angular, Desert Heat, the boxing glove, and the HEAT!!!! MMMM....*DROOL*

OG1: I drilled it stronger than normal since it's a lower flare ball. The pin is 4.5" below the ring (about 1.5" above midline) with the CG right below. It had a shorter pin, around 2". A small deep hole on the axis.
I have a big TNBA tournament this weekend so I plan on putting it to use. I got some games on it in practice and league last night and I REALLY like what I see. I'll post more info next week.
