Good control ball/Arsenal aggressive question
« on: November 28, 2005, 08:17:56 AM »
I have an Arsenal aggressive that I LOVE for control! I am looking for a different control peice also. Something for lighter (medium/light) oil. BTW, I am not all that crazy about the Desert Heat or the Heat. Would the Solution PP, Slash, or another FAZ with a different drilling work for me (my current FAZ has pin above fingers and cg kicked?

Also, I notice My Arsenal Aggressive does great on medium and medium Heavy. I have noticed it does not move a huge amount of boards though. My other balls (GP2, Polished GP2, FAZ, Arsenal reactive) move alot more boards than my aggressive. I personally like that is dosent hook the entire lane myself! Is this just a quality that a control ball posses or, might it be the drilling? The pin is over ring, and I cant find the CG but, it has a large weight hole in the side of the ball so, I assume the CG is kicked out??

With the Aggressive being a control ball, it is not supposed to cover many boards, thus the control. I believe the Slash is another great control ball, but with it being resin, should get down the lane better than the AA. The Solution PP is the same core, just different densities than the Slash. Either choice would be good to go with!

BTW, I found out why my AA is so controled today. I took it by the pro shop and had it weighed out. Is has 0 side weight but, it has maxed out finger weight. It goes longer but, it will still eat through it share of oil and it dosent overreact on dry. I am thinking on maybe drilling the next control item this way. It fits my game perfectly!

Clint, do you like the Slash or the Solution PP better and why?

I like the Slash better....a touch stronger (Solution PP uses the same core, but the densities are different to create a "low flare" version of the core).
