300C Solid = 826!!
« on: July 04, 2013, 10:41:30 AM »
Needless to say I am extremely happy with the results I have gotten from this ball in the short month I have had this "house shot killer".  I am averaging 255 with it on our "tweaked" week to week house shot.  All that kept me from perfection was four 10 pins.  289-279-258 last night.  Ball has the 2 inch pin to PAP layout, cg center of grip, and no weight hole.  I left it at box finish.  Ball is very clean through the front and super smooth on the backend.

FWIW.....I did go to a tournament last weekend and scored well.  Shot over 2000 AE and that was with the 300C and Violent Eruption.  Due to the layouts on both ball, they complement each other very well.  Both have similar board coverage but if I need smooth, I use the 300.  When I need a little more pop on the back; I use the Violent.

Balls make a great 1-2 punch on most patterns.  Very happy with these pieces!!!!

How strong would you say the cover is on the 300C Solid? Any experience with a Versa-Max?

I dont have any experience with a Versa Max.  I would still say the Versa is stronger overall due to it being higher end as opposed to the 300.  If I had to make an educated guess; I would say similar ball motions though the Versa will handle just a little more oil.  I am sure if you took the cover of the 300 from box to say 500 with Rough Buff, you might get fairly close.  But, at box finish, the 300 may not handle longer patterns or higher volumes as the Versa.  But thats more of a guess than anything.

Thanks for the info though.  The 300C reminds me of one of my favorite pieces, the Stinger 2 piece.  That had a higher RG and diff with a clean cover.  Allowed more drilling options and a wide range of conditions based on surface.

I'm still learning mine (2 of them).  So far I love the control and read of them.  Flare is really high even for long pins.  Too polished out of box but they are pretty strong with some surface.

I'll post comments in a few weeks after more time.  I think it has the potential to be a great all-around ball.
