Not much change in the "rebranding" for Track. A slight change in the flaming T, changing the colors to mainly black and yellow. Going away from the blue and orange because Hammer has orange.
The numbering system is changing also. HX, balls designed for HIGH rev players. MX, balls designed for medium rev players, and LX balls designed for low rev players. On Feb 18, three new balls will be released. The numbers in the ball names will be the same as the second and third numbers of the old system. Gone are the A, C, T, C/A, etc..
LX16, new multi density core, with a new pearl shell. Ball comes dull in the box. Basically replaces the 912T, but is cleaner through the front and still aggressive down lane. LX balls will have stronger covers to help the lower rev players. Heavy oil ball. Drilled mine pin down with the Masters in mind, this ball is nice. Nice revs in the middle third of the lane, continuous back end. Good hitting power/carry.
MX10, uses the Face core from the 910A with a more aggressive cover. This ball hooks the most for me of the three new ones. REALLY aggressive. I drilled mine pin up, and just needs a lot of oil for my medium ball speed. When I have found enough oil, it is pretty good. Weaker layout might be better with this ball for me.
HX05, uses the Kinetic core from the 505C2 and other 505 balls. New cover. Drilled mine pin up and no hole, it is really nice. Good length and back end. A little squirty on fresh/heavy oil, but that is not the purpose of this ball. When they are broke down, this ball really shines. I like the way it goes through the pins, no deflection. Similar motion to the 706C/A, which I also love, but for less oil.
Brand Manager, Richard Hanson, is really doing a great job with his ideas for ball design, no duds in this lineup, all three of these balls perform very well, and look good too. Track is definitely on the rise! #smartbowling
