At least compares the correct balls in the new vid....
« on: May 18, 2011, 06:27:01 AM »
I watched the 300T video....They had the 300C and 300T on camera...
They said they were going to compare the 2 balls....
The video compared the 505T and 300T, instead....
I realize that the only difference in the balls is: the 300C is polished and a "not-so-pretty" color....the 300T is "purty" and not polished.
Is the coverstock the same?

I'd like to see a comparison of the 300C and 300T....

The 300C is listed as having performance pearl in the cover and the 300T is said to be a "new" cover listed as the same name but solid reactive as the 300C cover (both are LMP1). So who knows, they may be the same thing, or one is pearlized but the way they make balls now pearlizing a ball normally strengthens it from the mica or additive to make it a pearl.

You can have a ball be pearl and it not affect the reaction. The 300C is a pearl, the 300T is the solid version of it. This is going to help it roll up and give you a little more teeth early on the lane. LMP GEN 1 Pearl Reactive is on the 300C, LMP GEN1 T Solid Reactive is on the 300T. I hope that clears things up.

Also they showed the 505T and the 300T to show you the difference of the two on the same fresh shot. They had mitch talk about how they fell in line with each other as a night went on in league. Basicly saying that they can be changed out to play in the same spot as the night went on and it got to dry for the 505T.

Mark,
I guess I didn't post very clearly. Sorry.

At 1:21 in the 300T video They said "Mitch, was going to take the balls down the lane"...

I would have liked to see the comparison of the 300T, like they said.

I would never describe the 300T as "purty". My best guess on the color descriptions would be "Placenta, Vomit, Mold and Smurf." It is an UGLY piece (IMHO). Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I mean, somebody out there probably thinks Snooki is purty, too.

300T is "purty" in comparison to the "BURN".  (imho)
Kim Mann is kinda "purty", and bowls well, a definite plus.

No you posted very clear, you wanted to see the difference of the 300C and 300T. I got that, and all I was saying is why they showed the 505T. They wanted to show how they reacted in relation to each other. You are looking at the number series the first way it was intended. Have different reactions and differences based off the series number and then the letter. Most people look at each ball by the Letter first and ask ok whats the difference between this T and this T. Most people who seen/had the 505T, seen the 715T come out and the first thoughts were. "Wow, how does that roll in relation to the 505T?", not, "Wow, how does the 715T, roll in relation to the 715C?" Did it come up yes, but not in the minds of the masses. Most bowlers are going out and buying each of the same letter in the other series and using them like that to build their arsenal, rather then building off a series first.
