508A Question
« on: November 30, 2012, 07:27:32 AM »
I plan to buy a 508A to be placed between a 716C & 300A as my secondary Main Street THS ball when the 7C checks up too early. 7C is 45 x 4.5 x 35 P2.5XH & 3A is 60 x 5.25 x 35 no hole. What dual angle drill would you suggest for my purposes? 60 yo stroker 15/16 mph med revs on older Proanvilane - THX

I'm not a big fan of switching layouts - so due the weaker shell/core combination I would suggest the layout you prefer most on your other balls and drill it the same way

Keep the angles the same as your 7c and change the pin to 5"...should be a good fit and will give you similar shape to what you will see with you 7c...just a few feet longer (both in drilling strength and cover).

45x5x35...weight hole as needed.

drilled my 508a with a 5" pin
something like a 50x5 x50 - something in that range

love the smooth push through the heads, great predictable move downlane
not the 1st ball out of the bag, but a great choice to have in case you need it
505t/503t are the 1st out of the bag
