Bought the 505T and compared it to 715T
« on: November 23, 2010, 10:52:47 PM »
Well I went out and bought the 505T....I drilled same as my 715T...65x4.5x30

Very interesting observation I made while practicing. At OB finish of both balls, I see the 505T about 3-4 boards weaker and a hair longer, but then I put both balls at 1000AB and what a change. The 505T became about 3 feet earlier and about 2 boards stronger over all, but very smooth and controlled. I really really liked the look. Looks like it can handle oil very well at that surface.

So now my dilemma is which way to set the 2 balls up surface wise.

Let me start by saying I have loved and scored great with my 715T!!

Has anyone taken the surface of a 715T up to say 4000AB?
I was throwing on a 44ft modified house shot put out for a high school tounament.

Any and all opinions and suggestions about what I should do are appreciated!

I have my 505T setup very similar to you. 65 x 3.25 x 35. I found it had a wet/dry reaction at 4000 but when i took it down to 2000 it was excellent. My 715T is at 1000 but drilled 45 x 3.75 x 35, so it tends to read the midlane a little earlier with less pop on the backend. They are a really good one two combo for heavier or longer shots.

My dilemma is I already have the Brunswick 3.5 that reads the midlane early and a very arcing reaction. So I wanted the 505T to be a step down from the 715t. But I like the reaction of the 505T so much at 1000, Im not sure what to do with the 715T......I just wasnt expecting that reaction at that surface from the 505T..
