607A SE/718A

How much difference between these two with same layout and surface?  Angularity and ball motion same or not with the Robot core vs. the Legion core?

to my surprise my 607 is stronger than my 718. Not sure what else to say. I have a bit shorter pin on the 718 as well. Bowling on wood gives me a noticeable read on friction and what not. Im gonna hit it with a 1000 pad and polish it again. I was actually hoping it would have a bit more midlane

When you say the 607A is stronger overall.  Does that mean more total hook or stronger backend reaction or both?  What layout do you have on both?  Surface?

Scott, ElDiablo & I are lucky enough to bowl together on Thursdays at Watertown Bowl 18 and the amount of total hook may be about equal.  Like Marty(ElDiablo) stated, the 718 seems to store most of it's energy for the last 10-12 feet whereas the 607 has just a touch more midlane read.  Of course the fact that Marty has about 475-500 RPM doesn't hurt on 1974 wood lanes, either.  He threw the 718 last night and was treated to some horrific carry issues before shelving the pill in favor of ANYTHING else...lol.  Marty, before taking it to 1000 and polishing it again, maybe just hit the ball with a white scotch brite.  The only issue with that is you might have a ball too close to the 607.  One thing's for certain, it's tough to put a ball away that you could throw 850 with, but you were about to throw 570 with only three doubles last night.  I sure as hell wouldn't have been smart enough to put it away...lol

Thanks John!  I didn't know Marty aka ElDiablo bowled with you at H20town 18.  Both of your rev rates are way higher than mine.  300-325. 
 
BTM rated both balls at the same total hook.  718A got a little better rating for light.  It would seem the 607A is a bit more roundish but still angular shape than the 718A.  Would that be fair to say?  If so it also rated just slightly higher in BTM's sport ratings, so that would make sense. 
 
I am trying to choose between the two under a 920T.  Moving in and opening up the front angle when they transition.  I would scuff slightly with 4000 abralon to take off the over/under.
 
What say you?

Wow Diablo I am shocked to read this.  For me and many others the 718A is one of the strongest balls I have throwing in a while as far as backend motion, overall hook, AND power at the pins.  I wonder if the ball isnt burning up on you a little bit.  I know that the 607 for my driller is very long and snappy but not nearly as strong as the 718.

racincowboy, trust me, there was ZERO quit in the ball.  Like I said, he was being treated to some horrific carry issues and they were definitely NOT flat 10's.  The ball had as much late movement as any ball I've seen thrown in a long time.

I'm looking at the same 2 balls....
 
 
The 607 is sym, the 718 is asym.
 
It's really hard decision...,maybe drill both of them?
 
My Kinetic Pearl and 300C are working really well...I'f like to find a 505C.....

ALL Track balls that are in the current line up are asymmetrical except the 300C.
