505T vs 718A
« on: February 08, 2011, 07:29:20 AM »
I have a 505T 65x4.5x30 2000Ab that I love, I need a ball that will get  down lane longer but still be as strong over all as the 505T, how would  the 718A do in that spot, I had a 607A that I just dont care for and  have given up on and sold. I was thinking a stronger pearl would be a  good fit.

Heres my current arsenal, tell me what I need:

 715T 65x4.5x30  2000ab  Heavy oil
 505T 65x4.5x30  2000ab  med heavy
 Dark Star  70x4x40          Med
Red Backlash 80x3x40      MedLight/Light...not too bad for spares either
 White Dot                        Spare Ball

The 718A will definitely be stronger than the 607A. I think it would fit that spot that you need. Go pin up and you will really get the strengths out of the ball. Something around 5 inches from your axis. It will deliver great length and continuation through the pins.

i would look at the 916AT  ---- i have mine drilled similar to the #1 layout, but instead of pin up, i went pin down. i get plenty of length with it and its very strong off the spot. i kept it oob, but you can shine yours up if you want more length. thats why i like this ball, you really get 2 balls in 1.  i have not thrown a  718A yet, so i don't know what it will do, but you will love the 916AT!
