How different are these two pieces?
-
I have them very different. On the ones I have drilled the same, Original Rising layout, love that layout, both at 4000 abralon. The 715T for me was about 7 feet earlier with alot more midlane and strong overall ball roll and continuation throughout the lane. The 916 AT for me with this layout is alot like the Rising SE was for me. It was alot cleaner in the heads and midlane. However when it makes it contact with friction is turns without a question or doubt. The only thing is that it is not an uncontrollable flip. It is still controllable and easy to work with. However the move is strong and can really let me give away the headpin on shots.
I would say in overall terms of hook I have the 715T about 3-4 boards further left. It doesnt turn as hard as the 916 but it starts up alot earlier and is not able to stay in play as long unless there is alot of oil. If you are looking for heavy oil you cant go wrong with the 715T, or the 916AT but I would recomend the 715T over the 916AT. If you want the ball to be usable longer throughout the night and start further right and move in with the oil as the night goes on I would go with the 916AT over the 715T only becasue the 715T when drilled strong will force you into the oil more at the start of the night.

Thanks Scoot,
I was a die hard Track fan 10 yrs ago and about a year ago went back to Track.
My current aresenal is:
916AT 60° X 4 1/2" x 70° w/ small P2 hole
607A SE 60° X 4 1/2" x 35° no hole
505A Rico
300C 45° X 4" x 30° w/ small hole on axis
I have a 715T with a 4-5" pin sitting here and a 607A SE (planning on a weaker 5 or 5 1/2" Pin:PAP, pin down layout). I am planning on the 718A when it comes out.
The 916AT covers the heaviest oil I see. With what you are saying I am thinking I should take the 715T and swap it out for another 916AT, drill it weaker and maybe take it to 4000 or shine the surface.
Thoughts?

I am thrilled with my 916AT!!! I was going to get a 715T, but opted for the 916 after getting a deal from someone on here for it. I've thrown it for 2 weeks in league and lets put it this way, last year my final avg was a 158....I'm averaging a 208 with this ball so far. This is a super piece and would recommend it to anyone!!!
