715A any non staffers reviews yet??
« on: July 18, 2009, 02:54:13 AM »
Anyone that throw's the ball like a typical house bowler own this yet???

Staffers make anything look good, I hear this ball is really that good but since being broke azz want to hear real bowlers reviews.

Unfortunately no, the only one I've seen in use has been in the hands of a staffer. I do have the 505C though...

J-mac,

Since you have seen a staffer throw the 715A, I am assuming you saw the 505C also. Compare the ball reaction for us. A nonbiased opinion of the difference between the two.

Is the 505C really a tamer Kinetic??? Still use a Kinetic and KE, loved the shuttle core that those used.

It even seems to be tamer than the Temper/Tantrum...

Don't get me wrong, it makes a significant move on the backend, but it's a much smoother transition from skid to hook to roll than the previous offerings from Track after their move.

Unfortunately I wasn't taking notes when I was watching the guy bowl, so what I saw from 2+ weeks ago when he was using his 715A wouldn't be that accurate.  For him, it's a look he felt he didn't have last year though.

Strictly from a core number basis, the 715A has numbers we didnt see last year. It is a higher rg at 2.52 I believe so it not get into a roll quite as quick as the Kinetics did but the cover is very responsive to friction and continues left straight through the pin deck. It allows me to not get as deep as I had to before because it doesn't rev up so fast. It also is really great from deep inside angles for that same reason, it retains energy very well.

The 715 is supposed to be the replacement for the kinetic.  I've not seen in in person, but from what I've read it should be more skid/flip than the kinetics.  Hopefully not nearly as inconsistent as the original was for me.

The 505 is supposed to be Tracks' weakest ball in a very long time.  Be that as it may, not a weak ball overall.  That is was is supposed to replace the Temper/Tantrum.

715A sounds like a winner so far, huge fan of the KE still have not shot less than 192 with that ball ever.

Used a kinetic last week and shot 239, mine is smooth as silk with pin down and 2k abralon with no polish.

Only really hated The Rising out of the last few years of Ebonite made stuff, traded it in a few days ago.

The 505C much tamer than the Temper and hits a heck of alot better. For a med/light oil ball it's strong and can be played from nearly any angle. Mine's drilled to have a smoother reaction on the backend without being jumpy that's exactly how it does and more.

I've already thrown about 25 games with to and I feel confortable saying that the 505C is probably one of (if not) the best medium oil ball I've ever thrown. Granted that I shot alot of good games with it but I was even more impressed with the consistency and room for error this ball has. I did take some videos throwing it on Thursday so I can post it this weekend (maybe tonight) with my review.

Nope... I went with a vacu-grip middle finger after spraining my middle finger a few months ago.  Before that I just had milled ovals for both fingers with very little bevel.
