715C Review
« on: January 05, 2010, 06:16:18 AM »
I have thrown the 715C and A for a while and during testing. On almost every drill pattern I have the 715C a foot or two earlier and about a 4 and 2 board move stronger than the 715A. I also have it more continous through the pins and am very excited to throw it on tour.

I have had several people throw mine compared to the A and they are agreed with me on the reaction and my excitement to put it in the bag.

Has pearle essence for looks but it doesn't affect performance. It is solid in regard to performance.

The comparison video is up on the Track website if you want to see it go down the lane.

It is stronger than an Energy.  It has an higher rg and more diff so it will come harder when it makes its move. I would say it is about 6 and 3 stronger and will be more angular down lane.

Mitch, very nice review and video...

I agree with the fact that the 715A is for a lighter oil pattern, as you said in the video...

However it certainly would be nice if the people at Track would get on the same page with you...

Because they continue to post on their web site that the 715A is for med.  to med. heavy oil....As of today..... 1-5-10....

And that is just not so..

Because on that shot, the ball was not Angular at all...

Again, nice review...

I would not say it is for lighter patterns unless you have a low rev rate. I said it is better when the lanes breakdown than the 715C. I can't use a 715A on lighter patterns unless I am way left or it is drilled super weak.  I use the 505 series on lighter to medium patterns.

To say that a 715A is extremely angular is a wrong statement but it is Angular. If we made it extremely angular it would not be a very good ball and unusable on most conditions.

Mitch,

Great review with the video on the new ball!  I've seen the 715A thrown in my league and it's somewhat angular to a certain degree.  But from the bowler that owns it he said most of the time it goes beyond his breakpoint but it carries decent.  I'll have to see in a few weeks if this one will fit between my GT1 and QZ1

Excellent point...When the shot breaks down, the oil pattern is somewhat lighter...Not talking about dry to light oil... agree the 505C is better there.
But the 715A is for a lighter pattern then the 715C...Not Light oil...

Now as for that term of "extremely angular"   that came directly from Track...

"to say the ball is extremely angular is a wrong statement"   Certainly agree on that....

That is why some felt that the ball was a little over hyped....

Now the 505C looks good... and I think anyone who watched the video will get a real good read on what both balls can do....

Nice job...A great to see a staffer post such a good review as you just did...

Good to see you doing some of the vids for Track.

Looks like a great new ball
