First Impression 508A
« on: January 10, 2012, 03:16:50 PM »
First night out in league with it. Drilled 45x4-3/4x55. Puts the pin below the bridge. Put a medium size low hole in it. This ball on the fresh clear the fronts super easy, and man did it change directions on the backend. Definitely stonger than the 505A and 503C. 503C is a tad earlier and smoother on the backend. Shot 203 first game. Ball had a tad too much angle for the first 6 frames. Second game shot 248. With the lanes getting some play, the oil started getting downlane, and I started to strike at will. Last game shot 300!!! Every ball was dead flush. I can't say enough about this ball and the 811A. I really feel that these are the best balls we have ever made that has an "A" on it. If you want a bunch of backend at a cheap price, go buy this ball!!!

Congrats! How does it compare to the 718A and 607A SE?

Cleaner through the front than the 718a with way more angle. I might be the odd one here, but the 508a is more ball than the 607a

That's interesting. I would have thought the 508A would be somewhere in between the 607A and 503C. If it is stronger than the 607, I wonder if it would be worth my while getting this piece instead of the 811A, which also looks impressive.

You will see a pretty big difference from the 811A and the 508A. The 607A just never hooked for me. Who knows why. The diff was only .040 which is stupid low whereas the 508a has a diff of .049. It could be a number of things.
