916AT
« on: January 06, 2011, 11:24:49 PM »
My brother won the first 916AT in Track's contest in November. After some slight surface adjustments we have it ready to score. Last night Charles went 278 266 279 823 with it. The house we were bowling in is an old wood that was resurfaced over the summer. It is know for a big puddle in the middle, dry outside THS with moderate backends. This ball handle the oil easily going 20 to 10 at 39ft. Great response on the backend and nice continuation. Can't wait to try a 300C on the 34ft sport condition tourney we are bowling in Sunday.

I haven't had much luck with mine. It is drilled fairly strong and almost acts like it doesn't want to finish. I have tried polish and then it goes straight. I've mainly tried OOB and  OOB with polish. I haven't tried taking it down in surface or up to 4000. I think there just might not be enough head oil for this. ball. Pretty much everything I have finishes stronger. The first few games I threw with it were fine but not so much now. I only have 6 or 7 games on it so I know it can't be oil saturated or anything like that. It is drilled pin up with MB kicked out an inch right of thumb. As is it works down and in up 7 or 8 with a smooth arc. Alright but noy what I was hoping for.

What kind of surface are you using it on?

I have tweaked a few for guys with similiar problems.

What is your ball speed and rev rate also.

My ball speed is around 15 mph. I'm not sure on my rev rate. (average) I don't have a lot of tilt and I track about 1 inch outside thumd and fingers.

We have now posted an 813 and a 300 game on different nights with the 916AT. This ball is really good.
