From what I have gathered from my friend who is bowling the WSOB, he said the 811A goes sideways. He threw it on scorpion today and was 5th on his squad after the 8 game block. He finished 12th in qualifing and made the top 16. Very excited about an "A" ball in our lineup this year. Will be a great compliment to the 919C, 716C, 503C.

The 607A is probably one of the most versatile pieces that I've thrown in a while and if this 811A is a step-up from that, this might be what I'm looking for something that fits under the medium-heavy, but not completely flooded lane condition.

Must be Stevie Weber?  He rolled it OK tonight.  The guy that has game is Dom Barrett 299 last game to make the show..  Another I liked was Josh Blanchard but he fell off the last 2 games.

Yep Stevie. Didn't bowl too well the last 6 games, but he is in 16 for the world championship. As for Dom Barrett, guy has been good for a while. His swing is so loose. Would have seen him in the states sooner if not for the 4 wheeler accident.

but will this ball be good on a heavy shot? not a flood, but better than a THS?

Not sure about a flood, but the way this ball retains energy and gets around the corner, I can't see why it wouldn't work on heavier oiled shots with the right surface. I am going to order another one and take it down to 2000 to see how much oil it can handle. But it definitely goes sideways. Honestly I feel this ball has a different motion than all of the other "A" balls we have had.

Yes it is a pearlized cover with crystaline mica.

Let me just say that this 811A-SE is by far the most hooking ball Track has put out in a long time.  Drilled identically to my 718A, this thing is about 5 boards stronger in the backend.  This ball gets through the front part of the lane so effortlessly that it amazes me.  I have used it on both a THS and a longer world bowling pattern and it was phenomenal on both of them.

I just picked up a 920A from a friend that couldn't control it. Is the 811ASE more than the 920A?

More on the backend yes. Stronger through oil, no sure. 920A for me was a very strong 9 series ball. One of my favorites because it was one of the few that combined hook in the mid lane and hook on the backend. 811A will be way cleaner through the front, but way more down lane. As for a video let me try to get a camera that works and I shall try to get a video for you.

Gotta revive this thread, this ball is killing in my house right now. I just picked one up tonight, my first Track ball, and wow this is a reaction I have not had before. I'll post specs in my review as I picked it up tonight without my pro shop guy being there so I couldn't get the exact specs. On medium/medium heavy super clean through the front, read the midlane perfectly, had a very strong controllable snap in the backend(if that even makes sense lol). I hit very hard and kept the pins low. On flush shots, every pin dropped almost at the same time, no love taps, no messangers, just straight low pin action. This ball reminds me of a cleaner, yet stronger Nomad Pearl, with its sharp angle but great control. Definitely a sleeper and worth a look by anyone.
