Title: 916 All Terrain
Post by: Curt_Dupre on November 08, 2010, 05:00:11 AM
It comes out Thursday. Who is getting one? As for me I just ordered 2 more. It really has a unique ball motion. It reads the midlane, and gives me an angle to the pocket like nothing I have ever seen. Bowled in a tournament yesterday shot 289 245 278 300 for the first four throwing the 916AT. Yes I did happen to win the tournament. The two I have, one is drilled pin below the bridge with a hole 5 inches from pin on the side. The next one is pin above my middle finger with a low hole. For me I use these as a one two punch for our slick house shot. Pin down on the fresh, and then pin up when I can open up the lanes. What is unique is that these two layouts give me two different reactions. So far I haven't shine one yet to give me the angular motion, but that is why I ordered the other ones. We have another staffer that has shined one and say it gives him a lot of angle on the back part of the lane. I hope everyone tries this one out. Look for a Track demo in your area.

Im very tempted, I really like my 607a. There are time when its too flippy, an earlier and more even read would be great. There are other options currently, but the 916 looks sweet!

Drilled mine 45 X 4 X 30. No weight hole. Left the ball in box finish, rolled 2 games of practice. Then entered and won the STNY USBC Senior Singles with it....This ball is a winner.

i just got mine on fri. i love the ball, i was almost perfect with it, 279 so far. the bad thing is it has developed a crack just over the fingers by the pin. i already informed my pro shop, so im going to get a warranty replacement. just one of those things that happen, but the bottom line is the ball is awesome. if you dont have one get one.

I really like track and always have. Only dissapointment was my rising that I still have and use,but its now a dry lane ball just over my fast. I am presently using a 920 that i really like. It responds well to hand and release changes and the backend is sick and dependable. I am wondering if the 916 will be the big brother. Is it stronger enough to be a first game ball on tougher shots where I really have to be slow and deliberate with the 920. My 920 is drilled 3 and 3/8 pin down x45

I can't speak for the rising since I signed on right when the number series started.  Also I assume you're referring to the 920t?  If so I can say that the 916at will be an excellent step above.  The 920t is one of my favorites right now and I agree there are times it's not enough.
