Just picked up a 920A, and it rolls really well. I'm not necessarily seeing any angularity (don't have the exact specs for the ball, but the pins right above my ring finger, where it was drilled into). It's not a bad thing, but was just wondering, that even though it is an "A" ball, isn't the nature of the coverstock supposed to be a big hooking? Meaning it'll still roll much earlier, than my 505A?
I might have just answered my own question here...just wanted your guy's opinion on how the two balls compare.

The 920A makes angle on oil. If the lanes are medium or you are close to the dry it will not make a lot of angle. If the 505A is a little longer than the 920A you are not in a lot of oil.  The biggest thing about the 920A is that it makes usable angle in oil and carries very well.

I use it shiny in the house I practice in because they hook. On longer patterns I use it out of the box or at 2000 depending on the amount and length of oil.  If he put the pin above the ring finger with a short pin he probably had to drill the fingers deep to get the finger weight legal. If he had to or put a hole up it will weaken the core and make it a little more rolly.

 I see big difference on a lot of oil as far as the angularity.  Remember it is a big ball intended for oil. If it rolls well and strikes I would leave it alone but if it doesn't I would shine it and see how it does.
