Title: ? for you track guys
Post by: Jtb51b on April 30, 2005, 10:45:01 AM
I have been offered a Phenom Unleashed locally for a good price. I am more familiar with Storm products myself but when I tried this ball, it seemed to move well. The ball is (of course) not drilled for me, so I do not really know how to rate it. What do you guys think of this ball, also what ball in Storms lineup does this ball compare to? Thank in advance for all your help.

Jason

Jason,

I like the Phenom Unleashed. It is a ball that will move, but also tends to be very playable on anything other than the extreme DRY or OIL. Comparing it with something in the Storm line is very difficult, but from what I have seen it is comparable to the X Factor Duece. I know the Duece is reactive and the Unleashed is lightload particle.......but I also see the Unleashed having a bit more pop on the backends and certainly at the pindeck.

Good choice Ex,

Jason, I'd have to agree that the Deuce in overall reaction is pretty close.  Both balls fit into the med/med oil condition for me.  Not too heavy and not too dry, just like Ex says....

Thanks for the replies guys. I am waiting on this guy to decide whether he likes the Vertigo or the Unleashed better. Which ever one he does not like, he is going to sell. I may have more questions about the ball if I do end up with it.

Thanks again,
Jason

jtb51b,

When he decides and you get one of the balls, let us know if we can be of any help with whichever ball you end up with.
