717 GP2 keeps getting better and better
« on: February 19, 2005, 09:51:42 AM »
Thanks for all the help with my ball... I bowled in a tourney today and shot 227 243 247 = 717 for my first sanctioned 700 series with my new GP2... Great ball was working today carrying well... If i buy a new ball maybe later this summer wondering what would be good in my arsenal...

Great bowling!

Keep up the good work!

Maybe we can get another Track ball in there and replace that ball with an E on it  Something you don't have is a dry lane ball, like a Crash or the new release in March, supposed to be the Desert Heat(don't know for sure, just going off of what I hear).

Hey frockc...
Let me see now... Who was about ready to throw their GP2 in the the nearest river about a week ago (LOL). I knew if you gave the GP2 a chance you could find a place for it to work well. I love my GP2 but have not made a post yet due to a finger injury but it is coming soon. Good job in your bowling keep it up. Do you think we have another Tracker among us now?

frockc,

The sudden change of heart you had about the GP2 is the exact reason I do not feel someone should have an opinion on a ball until they atleast 15-20games, and in some cases more.

If you try a new ball out and it happens to be on a condition that is not a good match for the ball and/or your game, then the ball is not going to show what it can really give you.

I hope it continues to give you good results.

Great point Jody...there are just too many conditions these days that can make or break a reaction for a particular ball.

For everyone, please do not hastily rush into a decision about "any" new piece you buy until you've tried it at different houses or even different days in your own house.  Also keep in mind, nothing is ever written in stone after drilling, you can alter surface, weights and/or pattern to get a different reaction.  Thanks for the update Frock...
