The Machine
« on: February 13, 2006, 12:21:53 AM »
What condition is this ball made for?  The Track web site said "medium", which surprised me, because the specs seem to imply otherwise.

It seems this ball should be stronger than the Delta 1, by pure numbers.  Is it?

Also, what is the coverstock?  Reactive or particle?

Thanks

The website says Medium, but the specs would imply Med/Hvy.  At least that is what I'm hoping for.  I'm getting one as soon as it is available (which I hope is soon).  The Fang LS coverstock is a light load (also hollow I belive) particle and is I believe mixed with the Goo LS coverstock.  The compound - polish finish would lead me to believe it is a light load pearl particle version of the Goo LS.  Should be AWESOME!  This is all just speculation and hopefully someone will chime in with facts to back me up or prove me wrong.

Has anyone thrown this ball yet?

Scroggins and Track don't go good together.  He needs more symmetrical stuff like Brunswick.  Notice he had the whole lane with a Strike Zone???

They aren't going to use the epoxy until they do more testing on it.  I believe I heard that Track doesn't feel it is ready yet.

Are you sure it is particle?  The other balln that uses Fang specifically says Fang LS Particle.  The Machine just says FangLS.

After watching this ball being used all week by the Track bowlers at the PBA show this week in Parkersburg, WV,  I'm getting one ASAP.  I was very impressed in the way it worked on the toughest pattern on the tour (SCORPION).

Yes, Del told me it was similar but a tad weaker than the Unleashed cover but with more backend strength than the FreakOut.

They had a black xception with the epoxy shell on it but never realeased it b/c of the hit that columbia has gotten with the epx.  Guess they need more testing.
