505A sanded
« on: October 01, 2011, 03:59:55 AM »
Has anyone tried the 505A sanded to 2000 or even 4000?  If so, how did it react?  Was it worth making the change?

Thanks for the help.

Depends what you consider "worth it"?  I change surfaces to adjust length.  Not to increase hook.  I did though sand my 505A at one point to use in regionals over the summer and it was still pretty clean down the lane because of the shell but was a few feet earlier than usual and a bit smoother off of the break.  It takes surface adjustments pretty well and you'll have to experiment to find what works best for your situation.  Thanks.
