My Rule is coming! My Rule is coming!!

Just got a message from Rick, aka tenpinspro, and my Rule is boxed up and on the road to me.  I'll be posting about this ball sometime next week.  Special thnks goes out to Rick for punching up the ball and getting it to me in time for league Friday night.  Just thought I'd share my excitement with you.  More later!

Hey McCracken,

Sorry for the wait but like I mentioned, it's been a real hot ball.  My two distributors had sold out of their first shipment already.  Trust me, it'll be worth the wait....

side note: Now I've drilled balls for Ernie McCracken and Roy Munson.  What's that make me, the official KingPin driller?  Aw man, that about sums up my life story guys...LOL

I do not know if I have ever considered the words RICK and king in the same sentence before. Court Jester and Rick, is probably more like it.

Ernie, your gonna love the ball guy. I have said it before and I will say it again "Track tipped the scales even more with this one"

Update: I checked the tracking numbers on the UPS website and the ball is currently in Des Moines, Iowa so it's only 2 hours away.  I still bet I don't get it till tomorrow, but that's okay.  I'm sure this thing is well worth the wait.  I guess I could drive the 2 hours to Des Moines, but I won't.  I'll just continue to bite my fingernails until it shows up.

Icetink, my Rule was drilled by none other than Rick Leong at Ten Pins Pro Shop, aka tenpinspro.  It's drilled with the pin out, mb in a strong and longer position.  Rick tells me that it has 5/8 side and 1/4 finger weights and no weight hole.  The top weight is 2 3/4 ounces and the pin is out 4 inches.  That's all I know for right now.  As I learn more, I'll post that too.

Rick, how did you set up Ernie's Rule?  By the sounds of it...Track has made yet another customer very happy with the Rule!  I'll be getting one (as soon as MrTrack will pick up his phone ) and I need help deciding how to drill it to go long and hit strong...just like Ernie's!

Hey Dino,

McCracken is actually about 2000 miles away from me.  I used photos of his Unleashed drilling and based off his reactions on that ball, I laid out the Rule according to what we discussed we wanted in reaction.  I pushed the pin out above ring for length and kept the mb about 1 inch right of thumb for a strong finish.  The long and stronger finish description was in comparison to his Unleashed, sorry if it confused anyone.  It was meant for Ernie to understand.

Based on Ernie's game, he has quite a bit of turn with decent speed so he didn't want the ball to pull too early, thus the placement of the mb where it is.  It approximately comes to about 4.75 x 4.5 from his pap.  That's an estimation from track info from Ernie as well.  Evidently he likes it but I see he mentioned in his review that he left some 10's.  Umm, how many 10's did you leave in your 751 first league series with the Rule?..lol  Okay, so you didn't shoot 900, I'm sorry, I'll try harder next time...
